There has been a whole lot of Nivea love going around on my blog these days.Last week i had the Nivea Skin refining scrub and today its the Nivea Fruity Shine LipBalm in Strawberry. So one thing you should know about me is that I am a chapstick hoarder, i will buy as many as i can get. Specially during winters i am constantly on the quest to buy that perfect chapstick.I think i may have just found mine!

Nivea Claims:
Makes your lips delicious, kissing them with a fruity-fresh strawberry taste. It covers your lips with glossy shine, over a subtle, red-toned glow. With rich Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil and Shea Butter.

II nod my head in agreement. This to me, is the perfect lipbalm- its mositurizing , it has a hint of subtle pinkish-red colour and it lasts long on your lips.. It smells lovely- not overly sweet, and not odourless either. Smells like the TBS strawberry lipbalm- and we all love how TBS lipbalms smell dont we?

First impressions of Nivea Fruity Shine:

If you see the balm inside- it has tiny glitter particles on it which instantly made me nervous because when chapsticks have glitter and they dry out on your lips you get glitter stuck all over your lips.Thankfully, this doesnt happen with this . The glitter is subtle and barely there, and if anything actually looks good on the lips. This is in the repackaged version with the slanting cap. The older versions didnt have any glitter

Nivea Fruity Shine Lip Balm Colour:
I love the colour on this, I have tried the dragon fruit one as well and found that to be too artificially pink, and iv tried the cherry one which is lovely  but this is probably my favourite. It is a subtle hint of pinkish- red which looks great on its own and as well as over a lipstick. Though over a lipstrick you have to be careful cos it’ll make all lipsticks look pinker and redder. Also i can see why they named it fruity shine. It is so super shiny!!! Its kind of like getting the payoff of a gloss but the moisture of a lip balm. Who wouldnt want that?

Nivea Fruity Shine Lip Balm texture:
Full marks to texture- it glides on super smoothly without being gritty and grainy and moisturizes with a lovely shine. The jojoba oil and shea butter must be working because i feel it quenches the dryness of my lips.( Take note Body shop Lip balm: You do the opposite !!!) . SO this to me, is like having the colour of body shop lipbalm but ten times more moisturizing

Will i repurchase: Yes, i also wanna try pomegranate, read about it on Tanveers blog
Price: Rs 129/-
Other Variants: Cherry, Starfruite and Pomegranate

Pro’s:
  • Colour payoff- gorgeous  reddish pink tint whish is subtle but not unnoticeable
  • Super shiny- its almost like a lip gloss
  • Moisturizing
  • Lovely fragrance

Cons:
  • If i had to think of one, i would say that the lid of the of the balm doesnt close tightly enough , so there are times that the balm opens up inside my bag. That just might just be because i got a bad piece
