MAC Honeylove, is often quoted to be one of the must have nudes in a makeup lovers collection. The colour is a peachy beige colour – a nude with some pink undertone to it.

It looks very different in the tube, as compared to when swatched. In the tube its much more brown looking, whilst on the skin , its quite a pale -pink beige

Honeylove by MAC is a tricky lipstick to carry off. It is an extremely stark nude- so it will take whatever colour you have off your lips and leave you with a wash of light beigey pink.

Light skintones- say NW/NC 15- NW/NC 25 carry this off stunningly well. It looks like a very natural nude on their lips. For darker skintones like mine however, this runs the risk of looking very washed out and dead looking. The best way to wear this i find , is under a soft pink /brown gloss, or over a more bolder lipstick- on its own, it doesnt do anything for me except look like concealer on my lips
This is also a matte finish lipstick, and if you arent used to matte finished by MAC, you may find it a tad drying.

Overall Verdict: 3/5

Will i Repurchase: Not likely, Im an NC 35 and it looks way too washed out worn on its own. This does work under a warm toned gloss though.

Recommendation: Although Honeylove didnt work too well on me, like most of these nude lipsticks, this is one that looks gorgeous on lighter skintones. My cousin sister is NC 20 and she calls this her perfect nude. I wouldnt recommend this to warmer medium toned girls..
