I hope everyone has plans to go watch the India /Pak WC 2011 match today,  its criminal to be in office and miss the whole match, so go out with your friends and family and watch it on the big screen ! I have a nice get together planned at home, so before i change into something blue to support the Indian team , i thought i should quickly share with you guys my thoughts on Lakme’s Botanical Eyeshadow quad.(Any time is a good time to discuss fashion and makeup)
The quad has 4 nicely pigmented eyeshadows:
A beiged pearl color: Great for brow bone highlighting, or inner corner highlighting
A taupe shimmery brown: Its difficult to describe this color, but its a shimmery deep brown grey which can be used for crease, or put all over the lid. Has substantial fallout.
A  shimmery burgundy plum color: This is a gorgeous color, but it has SO much of fallout that i end up looking like a glitter monkey by the time im done
A bright botanical green: This is a really nice green – one that is flattering on all skintones, cool and warm. texture wise as well, this is one of the better shades in the quad
Green and Pink Subtle look for day wear
Burgundy and Brown look
Somehow the pictures of the eye makeup looks didnt turn out as pretty as it was looking in real life :(. But hopefully, this will give you an idea of the colors etc
Overall Verdict :3/5
Price: Rs 455/-
Will I Repurchase: One quad is enough for me!
Overall Recommendation: Lakme’s Botanical quad has 4 colors that are beautiful individually, and work well together to create varied types of looks. The green and the burgundy are two unique and gorgeous colors, while the beige and the brown are very versatile! My problem with this quad lies in the excessive fallout of some of the colors, as well as the fact that these eyeshadows creased on me much more than other eyeshadows.
