Every season, Lakmé forecasts and sets the beauty and fashion trends in India in the form of a color collection. It all starts with the global trend immersion by the Lakmé team. The selected trends are translated for different types of faces and skin, and sees culmination in a collection that is co-created with the Lakmé Make up Artists and the Lakmé Grand Finale designer. The Lakmé product collection reflects the expertise of the make up artists and the creativity of the designer.
This season glossy finishes, glitter and shimmer, aqua greens, floral mid tones – all inspired by nature are the theme of Lakmé’s summer Fantasy Collection. The collection has been co created with Lakmé make-up experts Cory & Clint and Grand Finale designers Gauri & Nainika.
Talking about his inspiration about the new collection, Clint Fernandes said, “For me, the inspiration has been fairy tales – the vivid colors, the shimmery feel and sparkling effect. We have captured these elements in our collection in a manner that makes the colors and textures viable for everyday use as well as for special occasions.”
Cory Wallia shared his view on the looks created as part of the Fantasy collection, “The looks from the Fantasy Collection are international but adapted for the Indian woman. The colors and styles presented by us are suited for the Indian skin-tone. We have focused on glossy textures and color blocks inspired by nature.
The collection showcased was indicative of the vivid colors and shimmery textures that will dominate the make up kits of women this season.
Is this sounding tempting to you? Or are you slightly apprehensive about the shimmer?
