Maybelline Perfect Pastels Eyeshadow Quad in ‘Seashore Frost ‘: Swatches, Review, Photos
I Spy with my little eye, something blue and something brand new at the Maybelline Counters. This Spring , Maybelline has launched a couple of eyeshadow quads which are different from their usual ones (as usual though the entire range has not been launched in india and i only spotted two). Since i was in such a springy mood, i thought i would give this particular quad in ‘Sea Shore Frost’ a whirl!
The quad is divided into 4 sections with each of the colors referring to a particular area of the eye:
- Base Color: A powdery pearly blue color for the base
- Lid Color: A pearly lavender for the lid
- Crease Color:A shimmery deep purple for Crease
- Liner Color: A shimmery green liner for the eye
Pigmentation and Quality
I thought these quads fared much better on the pigmentation front as compared to the older Maybelline Quads. Apart from the lid color, which had poor pigmentation, the others applied smoothly and had vivid color! With pastels, you always run the risk of them looking chalky on your skin but thankfully this was not the case with this one! The colors work well together to create a cohesive look, and are rather lovely for spring!
|Quad Applied on Christy Turlington!
Overall Verdict: 3/5 or B
Price: Rs 240/-
Would you Repurchase: I wont need another one
Also Available in: A Copper/Brown Quad
Overall Recommendation: Given the price, the Maybelline quad applied smoothly and was pigmented except the lid color which was pretty weak in pigmentation. Though these colors are generally meant for fairer or cooler skintones, i do think that they ended up flattering even my medium skin tone. I wouldnt really recommend this for dark skintones though.
