This Friday, i dive into the world of Mac Neutrals- it is a pretty, pretty world with lots of versatile colors luring me. Sigh. Neutral eyeshadows are a weakness and even though some people will just say “Both are brown, what is the difference” ..i say “That is a brownish gold, and this is a goldenish brown..there is a HUGE difference” . There is okay!
1. Mac Woodwinked :The most gorgeous golden bronze eyeshadow . It is SUCH a flattering color for brown eyes and indian skin, or even green eyes actually. For me, its a MAC Must have along with Expensive Pink..Its just a very warm color and is the most pigmented shades out there. Is great as an all over lid color for a bronzey look or as an outer corner color for a neutral everyday look. I love how buttery and silky it feels when you apply it!
2. Mac Satin Taupe: Satin Taupe is a taupey grey eyeshadow which is not one i would have usually been drawn to. Greys dont look that good on me, but Satin Taupe is an exception!! You can wear it as an all over lid color or as an outer corner color and it is warm toned, so it does not look ashy at all
3.Mac All That Glitters:Its not gold! Its a peachy beige color with some sheen to it. I am partial to everything peach (Have you not read the title of my blog) ans this is one of my favourite MAC Eyeshadows out there. Its just a very pretty lid color that looks nice and shows up on light and dark skin tones
4.Mac Expensive Pink: One of my all time favourite eyeshadows from MAC. Expensive Pink is a golden pink duochrome, which i classify as a neutral just because it is so understated and pretty on your lid. Its one of my favourite colors to wear with Indian wear at night, or even just as an all over wash.
5.Mac Coppering: Coppering is a color that you need to get used to.At first you look at it in the pan and its a beautiful copper, then you swatch it and photograph it and you freak out saying ‘Arrgh it’s red!’ .Then you realise, that Coppering is amazing for creating dimension, just a bit of coppering in your outer corner can lift your entire look. I dont recommend using it as an all over lid color though!
All of these have been swatches/ reviewed on my blog :
There are so many more- Mulch, Sable, Espresso !! I could go on. Which ones are your favourites from MAC?
