Forest Essentials wants you to enjoy a, once in a lifetime, ritual in your home, the way it has always been done traditionally over centuries in India, as part of the preparations for your wedding day. A bride anywhere in her world is the epitome of beauty. Her wedding day is one of the most significant days in her life. This day marks her transition into womanhood.

Forest Essential Bridal Box

Traditionally there are sixteen ‘shringars’ or ceremonial rituals of beauty and adornment which are performed on the wedding day. These include the oiling and washing of the hair, the polishing of the body and face with exfoliating pastes, nourishing packs and elaborate bathing rituals. The use of the colour red is considered to be auspicious because it has several emotional, erotic and fertility related qualities. This is reflected in the red of the mehndi or intricate patterns of henna on the hands and feet, the red of the bindi and sindoor, and the red palette of the bridal clothes that are worn. The term ‘Shringar’ is associated with Lakshmi or the Goddess of beauty, prosperity, good luck and fertility.

Has anyone tried this Bridal Box? I have just started using Forest Essentials products (thanks to Peaches and Blush’s reviews :) ) I am liking it quite a bit and want to know what other Forest Essentials products are recommended! Currently I use their Night cream as well as their lip balm – both on mehak’s recommendation! :)

Hey Ashima,
I am a regular FE junkie… I haven’t tried the bridal box (though I AM getting married in 55 days!) but I have used quite a few products and I can vouch for some products for my skin (oily and clear, an occassional pimple once in six months).
I absolutely louuuvvveee “Sanjeevani elixir”, it gives a brilliant radiance to the skin within a week of its uasge. It does make my skin a tad oily, but I’m used to blotting and wiping all day for ages now so i don’t mind much :P
The “Date and Litchi” night cream is also great, as it gets absorbed in my skin immediately without causing even a hint of oiliness. Plus the skin looks great in the morning as well, not any more oily than is normal for me. And it’s anti-ageing so a win-win there!
I am also using the “Rose and cardamom” body mist, it’s water based and stays all day! Though smell can be over-powering when used in excess so I spritz a very little and the fragrance is there for 6-7 hrs easily.
Sorry for the ultra long post, just couldn’t help myself!
Hope this helped.
P.S. No clue about any other skin type products.

thanks a ton for this insightful post :-) This means that our wedding dates are really close to each other :-)
I was waiting for some recos before going ahead ams buying more stuff. What exactly is the sanjeevani exilir? Some face cleanser? I was also super tempted by their body mist, will try it out now! :-)

Wow, you’re getting married in less than two months too? My date is November 18, when is your wedding?
Coming to Sanjeevani, it’s not a cleanser, it’s a serum for the face. They say it’s got Sanjeevni booti (That jadi-booti lord Hanuman brought to revive Lakshman in Ramayana), even has a photo of lord Hanuman carrying a mountain… That was enough to convert me (yes, I’m a sucker for all things fantasy and childish :D)
So it’s a serum, which is made with sebum (the skin’s natural oil) as a base, so it gets absorbed super fast. That is the reason it makes oily skin oilier, but for us oily folks it just means more frequent blotting (no pimple/acne triggered for me). I guess it’ll be a godsend for dry skin folks.
I have always had good skin but I felt it gave it a certain glow, and people have been complimenting me on my glowing skin a lot more often since I started using it. I definitely recommend.
