Winters and Delhi Girls. Outsiders just don’t understand it. ‘How’ , they say ..’When the mercury is dipping below tolerable temperatures on New Years Eve, can you put on your tiniest dress, hot pants or skirt and brave that cold weather ?’ .  Its a tough job we say, but for the sake of fashion,  someone has got to do it ;) I think it is an inbuilt mechanism that we are born with- Resist Cold when wearing hot dress mechanism. Another mechanism i wish we were born with – Un-chap out lips  in Winter mechanism. Unfortunately since that doesn’t really exist, we turn to products like the Himalaya Lip Butter to help us make sure those New Year Kisses go off as planned!

A unique and luxurious blend of exotic butters that provides nourishing care, keeping your lips supple, smooth and healthy all day long.

Ingredients Include:

  • Cocoa butter contains Vitamin E that soothes and hydrates, preventing your lips from moisture loss.
  • Sal butter moisturizes and softens lips.
  • Kokum butterhelps prevent lips from chapping.
  • Mango butter rejuvenates the skin and helps minimize lip wrinkles.

Use Directions:

Apply evenly and liberally on your lips, as often as needed.

My View
First of all, it had me at ‘Cocoa Butter’ . Put Cocoa Butter in anything, and you have got me drooling- it is one of those skin care ingredients that smells like heaven- like Hot Melted Chocolate ! As far as the lip butter itself is concerned- it does it job. It does moisturize and prevents chapping – though don’t expect overnight results. It took continued usage of about two weeks for me to see real effects of this on continued chapping, though on an everyday basis i could see that my lips remained soft and moisturized .

What i don’t particularly love about this is that it is a very thick butter- so it kind of sits on your lips and you cant apply any other lip product (like lipsticks) over it , which kind of limits its use. So my favourite way of using it is just to apply it and sleep over it. The tub packaging is not something i am overly fond of either, but i can deal with it.

Overall Verdict: 4/5 or A-

Price: Rs 120/-

Overall it is a really nice winter lip product- moisturizes and soothes chapped lips , and smells totally yummy! It cant be used to layer under other lip products because its so thick, but at 120/- bucks..i can totally deal.
