While reading the innovations post Mehak wrote about here I realised that I own a Colorbar hollywood lights Lip gloss in 004 My Big Break which has the light up mechanism. The name was what drew me to this particular beauty. Come on now, don’t we all want our big break? Be it in career or in relationships?

ColorBar claims:

This new lip gloss range reflects the glitz, glamour and all things that make Hollywood. Its syrupy gloss gives a transparent, wet shine in illuminating shades. The gloss comes in with a built in battery, built in mirror and a light up brush. This dazzling product is specially designed for today`s busy women, to keep their lips looking beautiful and moisturised all day and night long.

The Hollywood Lights lip glosses are prepared with an advanced formulation that offers smooth and creamy texture for lips to give that spectacular shine and luscious pout. The product delivers the femininity appeal, style and panache of an actress, model and diva of today.

Hollywood Lights lip gloss is ultra-portable and are available in seven vibrant shades. All the shades have exciting names and bring glamour and style. The seven shades are Audition 001, Hollywood Blonde 002, Call my agent 003, My big break 004, Lights, camera, action 005, No autographs please 006 and Stars in my eyes 007.”

Personally I am a lip gloss person and I keep hunting for pretty shades so this particular gloss really called out my name. The color is bright berry pink which can pick up your mood immediately. Its a color that i think is specially suited for Indian skintones .This one is quite  pigmented but sticky. The stickiness means that it ends up lasting slightly more on me than other glosses- about 3 hours of wear without eating. For me, this and some kajal are my weapons for  an evening out. This gives my lips a dewy wet finish which is perfect for an evening or dinner out!.

1. Very pigmented

2. Comes with built in mirror and light for easy touchups in the car

3. Gives a wet dewy finish

1. Very sticky. If I keep my hair open they will stick to my lips. Not a nice feeling at all
2. 690 for a colorbar gloss is a little bit much- you can get Revlon Colorburst ones for cheaper

Colorbar Hollywood Lights Swatch

Overall Verdict: 3.5/5 or B+

Price: Rs 690/-

Recommendation: A bright jewel toned pink/berry color which gives me a dewy look.comes in a pretty tube with a handy mirror and lights. If you can deal with the stickiness this is a very pretty evening out shade. It will suit most Indian beauties.
