A big hello to all you lovely beauties out there. Since i am a ‘review virgin’ and this is my  first ever one ,  I thought of reviewing something that is HG for me ! (Holy Grail -for those unfamiliar with beauty blog language!)

Forest Essentials ClaimsThe first rule of Ayurvedic skin care is cleanse, tone and nourish. The secret to proper cleansing is to remove dead cells and toxins, clear clogged pores and clean make-up without stripping the skin’s natural oils and moisture content.
• Tones • Purifies • Adds Glow
Saffron has always been used in traditional formulations for glowing skin , along with Neem for purifying and deep cleansing.
• Suitable for all skin types.

Ingredients: Pure distilled Rosewater,Pure distilled Marigold water,Pure distilled Kewda water,Pure distilled Jasmine water,Lemon juice,Organic honey,Neem Oil,Nagkesar,Anantmool,Kumud,Pure Saffron Extract

My 2 Cents on the Products

The Forest Essentials delicate cleanser has the consistency of  a normal face wash, and  I find it very similar to Neutrogena facewash(was using it before FE). It has a mild lingering saffron fragrance to it which always tempts me to take a deep whiff of it before applying it .
This is a mild cleanser and it doesn’t lather much, though it does clean your face very well. I have  extremely oily skin and once I wash my face with this i see no trance of oil on my face for the  next 5-6 hours. It does this, while still maintaining the moisture levels of my skin , because post this my face feels really soft, and don’t even feel the need to apply a moisturizer.

A point worth mentioning is that this face wash even removes waterproof liner. I use mac blacktrack and it successfully takes out even the slightest trace of the liner. Though for removing liner, mascara etc, I firstly take Jonson baby oil in a cotton ball and wipe off and then apply this face wash a couple of times .So all you oily face girls must be thinking that this is “THE” face wash.
But I think girls with Dry or combination can also try this out as it provides a certain degree of moisturization, which we usually don’t get in facewash.
I bought this from FE store at inorbit mall-malad and the SA firstly gave a sample of this and within a week of trying this ,I was sold..Do check out the sample before buying since it’s on the heavier on your pocket

  1. Never dries my face
  2. Gives a very clean and soft feel to my face
  3. Have noticed reduction in acne, though it could be due to other FE products also that I am using.
  4. I think it will suit all skin type
  5. A mild saffron fragrance
  6. Though this is an expensive face wash but, I think it will last me 3-4 months as just 1-2 pea size drops would be sufficient .
  7. Comes with a pump, so I don’t end up taking out more than what I require

Nothing at all
Though I would have preferred if FE products would have come in smaller travel friendtly sizes too.

Rating: A+

Price: Rs 770/-

This is a great  face wash for my oily skin as it keeps my face soft and supple, while still not making it oily. It also removes waterproof liner- thats unheard of for a face wash!! Since its pocket heavy, do try out the sample first but from my experience i can say you wont be dissapointed
