Lakme Absolute Moonlit Highlighter Review
When you are in a long distance relationship for the majority of your life, you learn innovative ways to make yourself glow. For example, you learn that while video chatting on skype, putting a yellow lamp next to you makes you look all warm and candlelit , and the person on the other end will be fooled into thinking how naturally gorgeous you are. But well, you cant carry a soft light and stick it to your face everywhere you go now can you? Neither can you swallow a bulb (Kids, dont try that at home). Enter Lakme Absolute Moonlit Highlighter.  Want a warm golden candle lit glow? Look no further!

Lakme claims “Lakme brings Absolute Moon-Lit highlighter which is a dermatologically tested Vitamin E enriched formula providing a sun-kissed glow and luminous finish. Divided into dual shades, it provides you tanned shades with a little shimmer, perfectly suited for Indian complexion. It definitely is going to heat up things!”

My Review

One word. GORGEOUUSSSS (* Said in a high pitched Hallelujah type of voice*)
La La La. This highlighter makes me so happy!
Okay, back to serious. Hmm.

Lakme Absolute Moonlit Highlighter is divided into two half moons: a creamy white shimmery highlighter, and a orange gold section . At first view, i thought the highlighter might be too white and icy for my skintone – but its not. Its just a lovely , creamy glowy sheen that it imparts. As for the orangey gold section, it is like sunkissed gorgeousness in a pan half a pan. I dont use it to contour, because i think contouring bronzers should be completely matte, but i mix  and  swirl it along the white  to apply it on my cheek like a blush.

My favourite way to apply it: Swirl your brush along the whole pan- get both the color onto it all mixed together. Apply like a blush. Then dip your brush in the white section, and apply that just to the highest points of the apple of your cheek as a highlighter.

Perhaps the best thing about this gorgeous pan is that it doesnt have chunky glitter. It has this really finely milled shimmer, and on the cheek it just glows like molten gold! Reminds me so much of my favourite highlighter- Dior Amber Diamond (Review to come). The shimmer that is present in the white highlighter portion is subtle too, but i do recommend you dont go overboard with it. The duo doesnt last very long- i would say four hours and then it fades which is a bit of a bummer, but give me four hours of glowing gorgeousness and i shall take it God ! Plus, who doesnt like owning that stunning checkered pattern in a black case. Looks so classy and so very Un-Lakme (No Offence Lakme!)

I do think the colors are best suited for warmer skin tones- and would look great on most indian skintones.!!!

FAQ: Lakme Lip Love Aphrodite Blush on lips!

   Overall Verdict: A

Pigmentation: 4.5/5 , Texture: 4/5 , Lasting Power: 3.5/5, Other(Packaging, Value) :5/5

Price: Rs 600/-

Glowy,  Golden and Gorgeous – the Lakme Absolute Moonlit Highlighter is perfect for that golden glow ! Best suited for warmer skintones, and with a finish that just gives a soft sheen and not glitter this is definitely a winner. The only thing keeping me from giving an A+ is that it lasts for just about 4 hours.

Thumbs up on the innovative ways to look good on skype XD had me in splits :P the only downside of this range is that none of the products are long-lasting. otherwise i`ve tried the skin cover foundie and its amazing but yeah not for long :)
