Lakme Absolute Plump & Shine Lipgloss in Berry Shine: Swatch, Review, Photos

There are some topics, on which me and the boy can never see eye to eye. One of them is ‘cushions’. He says “What do they do, what is their purpose , we just move them away when we sit on the sofa!’. I say ‘ They look pretty, they make our butts warm, they dress up a room’. Another aspect is how much lipgloss is too much lipgloss? He says ‘If i can see it, it means its too much’ . I say ‘ If you cant see it, whats the point?’. Anyway, the reason im telling you all of this is because the Lakme Absolute Plump & Shine Lip Gloss in Berry Shine is one where both of us are in agreement- I love it, and he likes it too!

Lakme Absolute  Lipgloss in Berry Shine- The color
Berry Shine is a pretty peachy pink with multicolored micro shimmer. In the tube it looks much more peach than it is actually swatched, and on the lips it gives a light wash of soft pink. Very pretty for everyday wear, great for layering over lipsticks, and perfect for those times when you just want that natural, effortless look (with a bit of shimmer). Its a color thats likely to flatter all skintones, but if you have very pigmented lips then i would probably direct you to the other, more pigmented shades in this range

Lakme Absolute Plump & Shine Lipgloss- General Thoughts
I really liked these glosses ! They kind of remind me of Revlon Colorburst Lipglosses, only i a little less pigmented!! They are pigmented, but not thick and gloopy, last about 4-5 hours on my lips without eating, and leave behind a soft shine even when the color wears off. They are incredibly moisturizing and lightweight on the lips, and are sort of the ‘ in- between’ area of stickiness and non stickiness. Somewhat sticky to make them  last long, but not so sticky that your boyfriend will get stuck to it !(Unless you actually want that!! ha!)  . The shimmer in these actually add to the prettyiness quotient, give that fuller look to the lips, and thankfully dont leave behind a ton of gritty shimmer particles on lips once off.

A word on the packaging- something is a bit off! The wand doesn’t pick up as much gloss as it should once out of the tube. I need to pump the wand in and out a couple of times for it to show.

Overall Verdict : A-
Pigmentation: 3.5/5 Texture:  5/5 Lasting Power: 4.5/5 Other Factors like Packaging, Value etc : 4/5

Price: 375/-

Recommendation: I love the formula on these glosses, i think its top quality in terms of pigmentation, texture and lasting power, but  there is a slight glitch with the packaging in terms of amount of lipgloss that comes out.  Berry Shine is a soft peachy pink with micro shimmer that is perfect for that ‘au naturel’ look. If you have very pigmented lips i suggest you pick of Candy Shine or one of the others though as this particular shade is the  most subtle of the lot.  I still love my berry shine though!

Mahek I’m sorry for bugging u! But ya can u tell me if this is similar to revlon colorburst peony? The tube looked so much like it in the store lights and they didn’t have any testers
