Lakme Rose Powder  Review

Lakme Claims about the Lakme Rose Powder:
Foundation make-up in a powder format- gives a flawless radiant look.Contains rose fragrance to keep you fresh, contains sunscreen to protect from harmful UV rays. Gives a flawless radiant look.

My take on Lakme Rose Powder: Lakme Rose powder is a loose setting powder with a Pinkish tint to it . It comes in a rather unique packaging   : a  box containing the powder , a plastic lid with a hole, a puff and a screw cap.
To use the powder, you will have to tap the bottom of the package which will result in powder sprouting out and then use the puff for application.

The Powder gives a soft matte look to the face, and soaks up the excess oil that you may have while still not clogging pores. The pinkish tinge in the powder imparts a rosy feel to my skin, and since its devoid of any shimmer i can put it all over my face without worries of looking like a disco ball . It subtly evens out my skintone and so is perfect to be used as a loose powder that can be used to set your foundation. One thing to be noted is that i have very sensitive skin, but this does not react with  it and does not break me out.
As far as coverage is concerned, it does nothing great, and those looking for powders with medium or higher coverage may not like this. Another thing is that with the whole ‘powder sprouting’ mechanism – a ton of product gets wasted which is very annoying . It also contains parabens and a whole host of ingredients that i really dont understand.  But this is a nice economical buy if you are looking for some  loose powder to just set your foundation .

Shades available:

Soft Pink (for fair skin tones)
Warm Pink (for wheatish to dusky skin tones)

Ingredients: Talc, Zinc Sterate, Cyclopentasiloxane, Titanium Dioxide, Aluminium hydroxide, Steric Acid, Perfume, Rosa Damascena Extract; may contain CI 77491, CI77492, CI77499, CI12085, CI77891; Phenoxy Ethanol, Butyl Paraben, Ethyl Paraben, Methyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben

Recommendation: Its a good economical option for a loose powder. Those looking for powders with good coverage would be dissapointed with this, but if you just want a affordable setting powder that does what its supposed to do you can give this a shot !
