Organic Surge Super Intensive Moisturizer Review
Written by : Guest Writer Sophia

Occasionally I feel like singing an ode to the bottle of lotus white glow emulsion that was unfortunate enough to meet a most deplorable end on my bedroom floor-even though it was a pain ensuring that every shard of glass had been swept off completely…Fortunately for me, it marked the beginning of a bond with a lesser known skincare brand (in India that is) known as Organic Surge which has become a skincare staple ever since.

Organic Surge super intensive daily moisturiser is formulated for dry skin-for your reference mine is combination oily and my cheeks and area around the nose/mouth gets ‘sahara’ parched especially in the colder months. My first love from Organic surge was the “blissful daily moisturiser “ for normal skin which is my friend for the hot humid summers but when November brought with it the chill, I was forced  to get hold of a jar of the  super intensive moisturiser .

Let’s see what it claims to do-
Super-Intensive Daily Moisturiser nourishes, conditions and rehydrates dry skin. For skin that needs an extra surge of moisture this intensely hydrating cream is packed with natural humectants for the ultimate boost to restore dryness. Organic rose geranium essential oil is key to restoring skin balance and reviving a dull complexion. With the additional benefits of Aloe Vera to repair, sooth and moisturise, skin will feel and look super soft.
  • Natural and organic super-intensive daily moisturiser
  • Untouched by harsh chemicals
  • Enriched with organic rose geranium essential oil
  • Nourishes and conditions dry or mature skin
  • Repairs, soothes and softens skin
  • Helps boost skin’s natural  rejuvenation cycle

The formula is rich and looks like whipped cream (to me) and only a little is needed to cover the entire face and neck. I thought that the cream  might require some time to get absorbed considering the thick consistency but then  I pat it all over the face and voila! my skin just drank it and all I could feel was smooth supple hydrated skin. I was instantly hooked because my skin managed to look dewy without feeling greasy at all. Also even though my skin is breakout prone and sensitive I find that it does not cause any irritation and feels extremely lightweight on the skin. While some might find the  geranium oil smell  a little too strong for their olfactory  system I find it refreshing and it fades away quickly.

This intensive moisturiser preps the skin thoroughly for smooth and even application of base makeup and keeps the skin hydrated all day long. You can observe all  the dry patches making an early exit after  the first week of use itself and nowadays I bring out  the moisturiser  in the mornings only  so that I can concentrate on acne treatment products before bedtime.Organic surge products also claim to be free of parabens and other harsh chemicals and they are sensitive skin tested. The brand also  asserts the use of skin loving naturally derived ingredients and organic essential oils in all their products plus they are against animal testing.

Overall Verdict : A

PriceRs 825 for 50 ml.Available at a discount  on healthkart & urbantouch

Overall I’m really happy with my  Organic surge intensive moisturiser because it keeps my skin balanced and nourished ,gets absorbed into my skin at lightening quick speed, does not break out my break-out prone skin and feels lightweight. If you  don’t mind stretching your budget when it comes to skincare, give this one a shot!

Thanks for the review! I’m always hunting product reviews for sensitive skin, seeing mine is a case in itself. What anti-acne treatments do you use at night? I get regular break outs that I just can’t seem to avoid/calm down. Any advice will be great, thanks!
