Fab India Conditioner Review Fab India Aloe Vera Protein Conditioner Review

by Guest Writer Sangeeta

The first time I saw an Aloe Vera plant I didn’t know what to make of it. It looked more like a cactus but with lesser thorns and I wondered what part of it was awed and praised. Fab India describes their Aloe Vera Protein Conditioner as “A mild everyday use conditioner, containing aloe vera extract and vitamin E acetate that hydrates and softens the hair. It restores the natural moisture balance giving the hair a healthy sheen.

I have used aloe vera on my skin on numerous occasions and especially when I spend a lot of time out in the sun. Aloe vera calms the skin and soothes sun burn. It has the same effect on the hair. I usually use natural aloe vera right from the plant but the process of extracting the liquid from the succulent leaf is rather cumbersome and removing enough quantity takes time. On one of my shopping trips I saw this Fab India Aloe Vera conditioner and picked it up.

I have used up most of the Fab India Conditioner and I am happy with it results. It makes my hair soft and removes tangles. It is a light conditioner and will not be enough for those requiring heavy conditioning. While it makes hair soft and shiny it doesn’t add volume or bounce to the hair. It washes off very easily and smells pleasant and sweet. The packaging is nice, though may not be convenient for travel because of the big size. The cap has a press button; this makes it easy to use the product. I like the press button concept more than the flip as sometimes flip caps tend to break rather easily. One con with the press button is that if you don’t close it properly the conditioner tends to dry and block the opening. Another detail about the packaging is that the label lists only the key ingredients and silicones aren’t mentioned there. The website gives a more comprehensive list of the ingredients one of which is silicones. Overall a nice conditioner and I would like it better if it didn’t contain silicones.

Fab India Aloe Vera Conditioner Ingredients

What I Like

  •  I like the packaging. The press button on the cap is convenient and easy to use
  • Smells nice
  • Attractive pricing
  • Removes tangles and makes hair easy to manage
  • Rinses of easily

 What I don’t really like

  • Consistency could have been thicker
  • Might not work on those requiring heavy conditioning
  • Contains silicones
  • It doesn’t add volume or bounce to the hair

Overall Verdict: B+

Price: Rs. 175/- for 275 ml

Would I repurchase this? Probably not. I like The Body Shop’s Banana conditioner better than this. I have to use very little quantity and it makes my hair softer and bouncier and doesn’t contain silicones either. If I’m on a budget and I need conditioner I would definitely opt for Fab India’s Aloe Vera Protein Conditioner.

Overall Recommendation: This is a nice smelling hair conditioner that  is light and will suit most hair textures and budgets. It’s not a  wonder product but does a good job of  conditioning the hair.

@DevilishAngel: I’m not sure if it will work well if your hair is too frizzy. Nonetheless you can try it, you can get samples if available and use it before investing in the full product. One thing you should know, TBS products aren’t cheap, you need to shell out a bit on them.

@Mehak: You should try it, you’ll love it more if you like the smell of banana
