Revlon Beyond Natural Skin Matching Makeup Foundation Revlon Beyond Natural Skin Matching Makeup Review
by Guest Writer Lapanika
Don’t we all love things that have words like “ Beyond natural , skin matching, chemical free, skin calming” all those gimmicky , typical sales crap words, which makes us think , “hmm , maybe this Revlon Foundation is a rock star, in itself, and ,I should give it a benefit of doubt”. So there we go, get lured with the SA’s so-called-this-product-is-phenomenal-talks (c’mon now we all have been through this, so don’t feel shy to admit ) and buy the product on an impulse.

When I decided to buy  the Revlon Beyond Natural Skin Matching Makeup  the SA, showed me this foundation under yellow lights and boy it looked amazing on my wrist. However, the occasion was one of my friend’s wedding which was supposed to be at night in December. I was happy that I had got a matching foundation which had these micro specs which would adjust to my skin tone. My skin had become dry and when I applied the Revlon Beyond Natural foundation it made me look as if I was supposed to be cast in some Horror show (or a character who loves Halloween to bits). I had to switch my foundation and asked from my friends. So that’s my story.

My shade in this Revlon Beyond Natural Foundation is 30 Medium. This foundation is white in color with superfine micro black specs, which adjust to your skin tone. It is weightless in texture and blends out in your skin. Considering it has SPF , you do expect a whitish cast , however, it looks way to white. Secondly, after some time, you do notice , some kind of oxidation on your face ( I guess it’s because of the zinc and titanium oxides )and it begins to wear off. The coverage is decent, but made my face look flaky and highlighted the dryness on my face. It lasts for 4 hours during evenings. Do not expect it to last for more than 3 hours , if you’re travelling in the morning hours. Revlon claims, it goes well with their primer of the same range, however, I did not want to risk my chances of looking scary again. You really need a good amount of time to, understand, how much is more or less of the amount.         Pros
  1. Love the packaging .Very sleek comes in a tube with a nozzle
  2. The SA’s who gave me gyaan , was very knowledgeable , made me feel like I just migrated from the  villages to the city

  1. Expensive , rather , its just a waste of money,
  2. Hate the texture , blending and lasting power
  3. Does not suit dry skin at all
  4. Personally, I love foundations where I get to work with coverage (from Sheer to heavy). This foundation doesn’t give me the leverage to do that.

Revlon Foundation

Overall Verdict :

Price : Rs 960/ for 30ml

Will I Repurchase : Never( Even if its Halloween!!!)

Recommendation: People with Oily / Normal/ Combo skin , shouldn’t really waste their money on this particular product, because I honestly feel even Lakme , can take this down easily. This  leaves whitish cast, and then oxidizes after application, and doesnt last long either.

Guess I should stay away. I am in a foundation experimentation phase and I am glad I did not bump into it yet.
Thanks for the warning
