Lets talk about Mac Weathered Eyeshadow for a bit. Actually , lets just talk about the damn weather – which feels a lot colder when you return from the sunny beaches of Goa and all you want to do is scream at the sky and say “Get Hot Dammit so i can take my clothes off” (Dont actually say this out loud girls- unless you want that sort of attention from random men) . But getting back to Mac Weathered Eyeshadow – think of how it looks like when its just about to rain-  a deep grey blue sky, almost gloomy, but pretty in its own way – thats really what this eyeshadow looks like.

Mac Weathered Eyeshadow- The Color

Mac Weathered is that in-between color of grey-blueness  with tiny multi-colored shimmer that’s so hard for me to describe that its better i just give you examples of what it really looks like. It looks like your favourite faded pair of denims (with a bit of bling on the butt- btw, what is your opinion of jeans with blingy butts? Love it or hate it?) , It looks a bit like faded blue ink with tiny sparkles and like i mentioned  above looks like a grey cloudy sky before it rains. Its a color that, if you are cooler toned would look really lovely as an all over lid color. Specially if you are  a  blue eyed species- this is stunning-ness !!! I find its harder for us warmer girls to pull greys as an all over lid color without my skin looking sallow, so i use it  either by pairing it with a rich navy blue, or using it on the outer corner with a neutral color!

Mac Pro Long Wear  Frost Finish Eyeshadow : Thoughts on the Texture

I found the Mac Pro Long Wear Eyeshadow to be like all Mac Eyeshadows are- smooth, well pigmented, long wearing and an absolute breeze to apply. The amount of product in one pan of these are much more than your regular Mac shadows, and the quality still stays the same . The eyeshadow is a frost finish- which is a nice, shimmery finish but in general these are not as rich in color payoff as the Veluxe Pearls, though they are still well pigmented. You can actually layer these and build up the color intensity (and the frost effect) very easily if you want and the glitter specks inside are not gritty either, so its pretty smooth to apply.I think the best thing about this is that even though there is multi colored glitter specks in this, there is surprisingly little fallout.

Overall Verdict:A

Product:4/5 ,Pigmentation:4/5 ,Texture:4.5/5, Longevity : 5/5,Value & Packaging:4/5

Price: Rs 1000/- for 0.11 oz

Recommendation: Mac Weathered Eyeshadow is that in-between color of grey-blueness with multi colored shimmer. Its reminds me of faded (weathered?)  denim actually, and i think this is a great all over lid color for cooler skin-tones. For my warm indian skin, i like to pair this with a rich navy blue or use it in the outer corner/ crease with neutrals for an interesting twist on a neutral eye! Has all the makings of a stellar Frost Finish.

I haven’t tried any of the pro longwear shadows yet. But that is about to change. Have you tried any of the other shades?
