Streetwear Nail Polish Sparkling Mauve
Guest Review by Jayashree
If you are a Nail Polish addict, India is not really the best country to live in. The brands are few and far in between and the variety is somewhat limited ! All the while, in the quest of searching for a nail polish with depth/glitter/ texture in our country, I chanced upon Sparkling Mauve by Street Wear. Man, was it beautiful and i was totally hooked!
Streetwear Sparkling Mauve is a grape purple with pink added to it, so it is not a true purple-It falls in the dark magenta band. It also has irregular sized silver and pink glitter in it (you can see this in the close-up photo) which makes it and the person wearing it, much more cheerful !*Happy face* Application is easy-peasy. But you need two/three coats to achieve complete opacity depending on how carefully you apply it. Drying time is decent. It dries to a slight gritty texture and a finish not very glossy. So, if needed, the fourth coat, i.e. the top coat needs to be done. The colour is exactly as in the bottle, so yay to that! I have been dazzled many a times by the colour in the bottle and then follows disappointment!!!
The photos for the polish have been taken without topcoat so you can see the irregularity of the glitter. Trust me, Streetwear Sparkling Mauve Nail Polish looks much better in real life than in the photos. Tried very hard to capture the exact colour, but you know… purple polishes have their own mind. To give you a better idea, the colour is a bit purpler than in swatches in sunlight. It is as bright in sunlight as seen in the photos. The polish does not chip till day 4. Now all you have to do is … keep calm and paint your nails!
