Cetaphile Cleansing Lotion Review

By Guest Writer DA

Initially, I used to think that makeup is the best way to cover faulty skin. Later, I realized that the face is like a canvas. A painting would look good only if the canvas is perfect right ? No matter who you are, a good face always re-invents your make-up.
So girls,  in my opinion its best to fight pimples and acne than covering them up. My best find till date is this cleanser by Cetaphil. So let me give you a review about it.
Company claims-

  • Mild skin cleanser for sensitive skin conditions, atopic dermatitis and other diseases.
  • General cleanser for patients with acne or with dry skin.

My Review

I firmly believe in the Cetaphil cleansing lotion. On the package is says it is for sensitive skin, and it really is- It is very mild and gentle, so I recommend it can be used by all skin types. It does not make your skin dry and stretchy like other harsh or soapy face cleansers dp and it does not leave a sticky feeling like most crème cleansers. It claims not to disturb the skin’s pH balance and it surely keeps it promise. Cetaphil cleansing lotion is the only product which I have been using for a prolonged time, because I keep changing my face products. Since I tend to break out every now and then, this cleanser is perfect for me as it controls all that. This cleanser is mild and I have been using it on my not so smooth face without any problem.

This has totally cleared my skin out and I have been using it on the recommendation of many beauty gurus .  I have learnt that pimples are oil glands (sebaceous glands) that are infected with bacteria, and become inflamed. Pimples are caused when the sebaceous glands located at the base of hair follicles become overactive; the most vulnerable parts of the body is the FACE.  This has cleaned out all those glands and resulted in much lesser break outs.

A good thing I find about the Cetaphil Cleansing Lotion is that we can use it as a normal face wash i.e. Apply and rinse with water or if you are on the move it can be applied to the skin directly, massaged and then the extra can be wiped off using cotton. It is perfectly okay if it is not washed off because it does not lather of anything…. And this way works even better than the normal one. I do it this way only n have had no problems.

Overall Review: A+

Price: Rs 110/-

Recommendation: The Cetaphil Cleansing Lotion is perfect for sensitive skin that is prone to breakouts. It is mild and gentle and does not make your skin dry and stretchy, and i highly recommend it to all girls who have problematic acne prone skin.

I think yes, u can use this on dry skin as well… bcoz it doesnt lather like soapy cleansers n therefore doesnt dry you out further.

I have oily-combination and acne prone skin and I swear to Chanel, this is the only thing that doesn’t mess up my skin. The other cleansers are pretty harsh on my sensitive skin and I usually end up with oily and flaky (!) skin if I use them. Since I switched to Cetaphil, my skin has calmed down like no other. Highly recommend it!

I have very oily skin n get pimples frequently. Just bought Cetaphil cleansing lotion today by seeing the review here. But its written in the bottle for dry skin which I haven’t noticed while buying. Is it safe to use it on my oily skin ?
