Colorbar Star Lip Gloss in Ripe Apple :Review & Swatches

Guest Review by CSP Ballal

Usually, when you hear the word  ‘lipgloss ‘, a transparent/semi transparent glossy lip product   would creep into your mind. But Colorbar Star Gloss Lip Gloss defies common lip gloss logic !  It gives full coverage to the lips and can be worn just on its own. After a while the glossy shine is however vanished, but the stain remains intact on the lips. Infact even at the end of the day, after all your mails you will still see a faint hint of color on the lips.   Think of it more like the ‘Lip Cremes’ that we get in the market today – Like Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams.

Colorbar Star Gloss Lip Gloss comes in a short transparent plastic tube with a silver colored twist up cap. The package comes with a doe foot sponge applicator which is of very good quality. Gliding is pretty neat with this applicator and the color is applied evenly.  No clumps of gloss remains back on the lips.

Ripe Apple is an earthy, brownish red- pink that  looks wonderful specially  on indian skin . Its a great , unique color  with no shimmer that delivers completely opaque coverage.  The only  issue with this product is lips drying up. Obviously, if a product remains back until almost end of the day, it seems a little stubborn and that adds to its drying property.  I suggest you keep a solution to the dry lips in your vanity along with Colorbar Star Gloss Lip Gloss.

Recommendation:  Colorbar Star Gloss in Ripe Apple is an earthy deep pinkish brown, almost a brick pink.. that is a wonderful color for indian skin tones. It gives pigmented, opaque color to the lips, and glides on with ease. However it does tend to dry out on your lips, so i highly recommend using a lip conditioner before this.
