Essie Aruba Blue Nail Polish Swatch

Guest Review by Advaita

Every weekend, I have my sacred “me time” routine of watching a movie and painting my nails. See , I’m a nail polish junkie. This week was no different , and I’m wearing Essie’s Aruba Blue on my nails. It’s a gorgeous deep blue with greenish navy undertones. It also has turquoise blue micro shimmer. It’s not royal blue or electric blue like China Glaze Frostbite but more towards navy with an electric blue sheen. It looks much brighter in direct sunlight, but darker and navy-er inside .

Aruba Blue by Essie quite an opaque polish , but you do need 2 coats  for the kind of coverage shown in the pictures. Even without a topcoat, this one has nice sheen to it. But adding one topcoat just makes it super glossy!  In terms of longevity its spot on too  and it lasts for at least 5 days without chipping . The consistency is somewhere in between, not too creamy but not thin and runny either. This ensures it goes on smoothly with minimum streakiness

I’m biased towards blue and purple nail polishes. But that is not the only reason I love this! I wear it at least once a month. This was my first Essie Nail Polish and after Aruba Blue, im sure to go back for more!

Name: Aruba Blue

Brand : Essie

Colour : Dark blue, veering towards navy with blue microshimmer. So concise. ;)

Product Amount : 15 ml

Consistency : Not very creamy but not sheer.

Finish : Glossy and shimmer.

Coats : Turns opaque in 2 coats.

Application : It goes on smoothly, no streaks. The brush isn’t too wide.

Durability : No chipping for 5 days

 Overall Verdict: A+

Price : Around Rs. 450-500 for 15ml

Where to buy Essie in

Recommendation:  Essie’s Aruba Blue Nail Polish is a bright, navy nail polish with turquoise and electric blue microshimmer. The polish is opaque in two coats, long-lasting and very smooth to apply.
