Im still one of those girls, who sticks out her tongue everytime she is applying nail polish, and still cannot for the life of me apply polish with my left hand! But Illamasqua Nomad Nail Polish is so darn pretty, i stuck that little tongue out as hard as i could just so i could have it on my right hand too!
Illamasqua Nomad, is kind of like mint caprioska on your nails ! Its so fresh and minty, it could give ‘Polo’ a run for its money!”A bright jade’ is what Illamasqua calls this but as this nomad travelled from my left to right hand adorning all my nails (albeit in a slightly messy way) , i realised its more of a pastel minty jade green. Perfect for spring and definitely an addition to my pastel polishes for spring post! This is actually a really good dupe of Orly Mint Mojito, except this is a wee bit greener! I actually have a bikini which is this minty jade and gold (<3 it ), and all i could think of was wearing that by a beach in Europe with Illamasqua Nomad on my nails!
This polish is such a breeze to apply, with a nice solid brush for flawless application. The formula is top notch and very creamy and you can just glide it on your nails without worrying too much. There is absolutely no streakiness(any streakiness you see in these pics is because i was so impatient i wore this over my previous polish) and its as smooth as butter. The formula lasts really long too- I got 6 solid days of wear without chipping. However, because the polish is so creamy , two coats take slightly longer than average to dry. For me, this is a problem because i am clumsy and restless and fling my hands far and wide while talking- always resulting in semi-wet polish being scraped off!
This is by no means a cheap polish, and even at the brilliant quality it delivers, you do end up wondering how much really should be the maximum you spend on polish! This is way above my max cap of 500Rs, which is why it kind of brought down the value score but ofcourse if you are a nail polish junkie you may find this one of those ‘need to have at any cost’ kind of polishes!
Overall Verdict :A
Product:4.5/5,Pigmentation4/5, Texture:4.5/5, Longevity:4.5/5, Value & Packaging: 3.5/5
Price: 13.5 pounds for 15ml (In Indian Rupees that is around 1000Rs !!)
Where to buy Illamasqua in India: www.illamasqua.com
Recommendation: Illamasqua Nomad is part of their Human Fundamentalism collection- a fresh, minty jade green which is such a perfect pastel nail polish for spring! A great formula- smooth, creamy and long wearing, although definitely way above the price cap im willing to pay for nail polishes!
Disclaimer: Product sent by Brand! Just a shoutout to the Illamasqua PR department- they are by far some of the best PR people to work with- professional, friendly and extremely aware !
