Indian Bridal Clutches

“Just what is the point of carrying a  tiny bag, when i have to carry your mobile and camera in my pocket”, asked the boy to me “Cant you just carry a bigger bag?””.   “First of all- its a clutch not a bag,  and its not meant to store things. Its meant to match my outfit , look pretty and at best store makeup!!! You wont understand”, I replied. Yes, men wont understand why we drool over clutches – they are too tiny to fit in something significant but  how can you resist this jewel encrusted blingy accessory that you can effortlessly wear with your saree , clutch-ing it for dear life as if it holds something very precious. But really, if god forbid it got stolen we would only really weep because we lost the bag itself and not the contents of it !!!

If you are a bride to be, or if you are just a regular girl who attends a lot of weddings – the bridal clutches from Kudos fashions are just perfect. They are blingy and rhinestoney- like the white one i pictured above, but they are also indian and traditional like the gold one at the bottom. Kudos  Fashion retails in South Extension Part 2 (E-26, South Ex Part 2 to be exact) , and they house a whole lot of bags and purses. They don’t limit themselves to clutches, infact there is a rather large section for leather handbags , cross body bags, satchels, totes and tons more! You know what i thought was great though-they are pretty affordable. I mean, if you have done a little survey of drool worthy clutches in Delhi , you would know that not too many of them can be bought within the Rs 5000/- budget, but most of these are within that price bracket.

Clutch photographed above: Approximately Rs 5500/-

The one above i absolutely loved. I would buy that in a heartbeat (infact i plan to), it  is such a versatile clutch- not just to be part of the bridal trousseau, but it would go well with westerns too no? Like with a simple basic dress for a night out- it makes a statement accessory!

The one below is more for the days when you are wearing a lehenga or a saree, but i thought it had colors that most traditional outfits are made in, so its a good buy to wear with all those outfits!!!

Clutch photographed above: Approximately Rs 5500/-

The range of bridal clutches varies between 5000 to 8000 Rs !! (Arent those little potlis cute?) . You can check out their other ranges  on their facebook page . They dont limit themselves to clutches, there are a whole lot of other things!!!

Disclaimer: Kudos requested me to photograph their clutches. However , they were not gifted to me, nor was i paid for mentioning them. I just thought it would be helpful for all of you on the hunt for bridal accessories!

Gorgeous clutches. I would love to carry them around with a nice anarkali or even a jeans for the matter. I recently read somewhere that jeans need not be washed regularly and Levi’s has come up with a similar campaign. I am sharing the read here: It is a nice read.

sajada July 12, 2012 at 8:47 pm
