Zoya Pru Nail Polish
by Guest Writer Jayashree
You know, how every polish of Zoya is named after a woman? There is Zoya Valerie, Zoya Crystal and now Zoya Pru. How cool would it be to have a nail polish with your name on it? Ok, since Zoya Jayashree is a very very distant dream, just for right now, I am going to call myself Gloria :D Zoya Pru is a berry pink colour with plum undertons and bronzey golden flecks in it. It has a shimmery finish and when you look at it up close, you can see the tiny golden flecks. These beautifully catch sunlight and glow- definitely one of those air piano nail polishes! These tiny shimmery bits create a sort of depth in the polish and dance aroun on the tips of your nails.
Gloria has got a celebratory feel to it, reminds me of weddings with rich ghagras, sarees and loads of sequins. So if any of you are planning a weddin, make sure Zoya Gloria is tucked away in your clutch! It will definitely match with all your indian attire, and with all that pink and gold in it, its quite perfect for brides to be!
Zoya polishes are of top notch quality in terms of application. Gloria does not disappoint us here. The polish is of good consistency and applies smoothly. It needs 2-3 coats for complete opacity. I have done 3 coats in the pictures. Applying 3 layers is not a problem as it dries pretty quickly. It dries to a glossy and smooth finish. You don’t want to take your eyes off it! It stays put for 5 days with some tip-wear and no chipping. So much for paying a huge price! What with it being expensive, I would try to find a cheaper dupe for it. Please let me know in comments if you know of one.
Ease of application: 5/5
Opacity: 2-3 coats
Chip resistance: 5 whopping days!
Availability: www.blab.co.in, www.purplle.com
Price: Rs. 405 (I bought it with 15% discount on it) for 15 ml
Recommendation: Zoya Gloria is a glorious berry pink polish with golden flecks, suited for those innumerable weddings you are expected to attend! If you have spare cash, and you love polishes with character and shimmer, then Zoya Gloria will definitely not dissapoint! Zoya Polishes are totally top quality and Gloria does not dissapoint on that front either.
Editors Note: If Zoya were to create a polish based on your name, what would you create girls. Im thinking i would create a rich vibrant purple with gold and turquoise micro shimmer. Either that, or a pale peach with tons of gold flecks in it
