Lotus Herbals Natural Kajal

Guest Review Written by Chandana

Lotus  claims : 100% natural kajal that relaxes & soothes eyes through the day. Smudge-proof & long lasting, it contains botanical extracts of camphor & almond oil to pamper eyes & promote lash growth (Editors Note: Really, Lash Growth??)Key Ingredients: Camphor, Liquorice and Almond oil

The Lotus Herbals Natural Kajal is a conical shaped kajal in a retractable tube resembling a lipstick package. Ofcourse you wont mistake it for one, since the color inside is jet black(Unless you like black lipstick!). Infact one of the best things about the Lotus Kajal is that the color payoff is rich, dark black in a single swipe. Its exactly what you would want your kohl to be-intensely black and pigmented, without the need of going over it again- so half the review is won over by thus quality. The

In terms of staying power, this Lotus Kajal  is not too great.  It fades off in about 3 hours, so re-application might be necessary. (Editors Note: If you do want a kajal to last longer on you then i recommend going over your waterline with a Q-tip, which will soak up the moisture of your eye. Then put a kajal- lasts longer like that. If you set it with black shadow it shall last even longer!) . Smudging is a prominent quality of any kajal, infact kohl pencils are meant to be soft and smudgy – hence the  Lotus Herbals Kajal is no different in that department. Natural, Herbal Kajals in general smudge very easily- they seem to almost melt with the skin, so that is something you do need to prepared for when you purchase one.  This one does smudge easily, though still not as easily as say the Himalaya Kajal or the couple of other ones i have tried.

One pet peeve i had with this is that it  has a very small cap on top of the kajal. This is annoying because if you travel, the cap gets loose very easily and keeps falling out inside your bag which results in a bit of a mess while travelling. Apart from that pet peeve, the packaging itself is rather cute looking!

Rating: B

 Price :Rs 125/-

Will I Repurchase: No. I will try some other kajals for now

Final Verdict: The Lotus Herbals Natural Kajal is a dark black, pigmented kajal which is soft and smooth to apply. If you can handle the smudging (almost all  herbal kajals smudge, this smudges just slightly lesser than others) , and re-application after a couple of hours, this might be a good buy for you!

Its quite black but tends to smudge. Wish there was one kaajal that doesn’t smudge.

I would be so annoyed by that cap! I’ll stick with my Lakme Kajal instead. :)

well … this is the only kajal I use … I m using this one from last 2 or 3 years … it really soothes and refreshes ur eyes .. there is no chemical thts y it smudges ..its like that very natural and herbal … trust me nevr thought of changing it ………good for daily use but should be avoided in parties ……

Agree with Neha… I am using this from 1 yr and never want to change this… It keeps the eyes dust free and purely herbal… Eyes are delicate but important assest of a women… So why take a chance!!!! Ofcourse dont use this at parties coz it might look quite normal… Instead use colourful Kajals available these days!!! Should make any one of look trendy!!! what say Girls???
