There are very few things that give me as much happiness as a sunny side up fried egg early morning. Dont ask me why, but that fried egg with that sunny yellow  yolk in the centre, just makes me feel life is perfect and nothing can go wrong!!! (See how im so easy to please? I just need a fried egg! I swear even if the boy hid the ring inside my fried egg as a proposal I wouldn’t even notice- im just in a state of bliss when i eat it. It’s quite wierd.) Something about Mac’s Optimistic Orange Cremeblend Blush reminds me of that early morning fried egg! It’s just so darn happy and cute looking with its round orange-ness (lie a fried egg yolk)  staring up at you saying ” Why so serious?. Be Optimistic Orange Ho-Ho-Ho“.!!!

When i first read about the Mac Shop Cook Collection, i drove my sister mad saying this repeatedly “Mac shop mac cook mac . Shop Shop Shop . Cook Cook Cook. Mac Shop Mac Cook Mac . Shop Shop Shop. Cook Cook Cook“. Haha, I couldn’t help myself- I was on of those wound up dolls who keep saying the same thing!! Try saying it, you will get hooked!!

Optimistic Orange- The color

Anyway, coming back to Mr.Optimistic Orange Cremeblend Blush, which is the happiest blush i own amongst all my blushes !! Optimistic Orange, as the name suggests is a deep orange in the pan, but a pretty peachy orange when blended. Its a color that a lot of people would think will make them look like a tiny orange clown , but rest easy because on the cheeks its just a very nice, upbeat orange flush. My love for peach blushes is well documented and i have to say Mr.Optimistic Orange is right up there (though still not replacing my favourite Mac Peaches). You can wear this sheer for a natural, peachy cheek or layer it on if you really want the color to get intense (if you like being a tiny orange clown..hey im not judging)!! This one is a color i think will look good on most skin tones, specially Indian (medium to dusky girls look great in peachy oranges), except maybe if you are very pale and the orange looks too harsh against your pale skin.

Thoughts on the Cremeblend Formula

Mac has a new cream blush formula in town, and im loving it!! These Cremeblend blushes, replaced the Mac Blushcremes a while ago and i am so happy they did. These are much lighter than the Blush cremes which means you can easily wear these in the summer without feeling heavy or sticky. I also feel like the finish is kind of in between matte and dewy, which for oily skin girls is a really good thing!! These last longer than the older formula too giving me a solid 6- 8 hour wear time !! I didn’t have too many issues with blending,I read somewhere that these are harder to blend but i feel like inspite of being lightweight thy are still creamy enough to be blended decently . They don’t have the ease of blendability like Nyx Cream Blushes,  which are much creamier than these but I wouldn’t call them hard to blend either. I like that the pigmentation can be built up from sheer to pigmented- gives you that much more control over the level you want you know?

This is with medium intensity. You can go sheerer for a natural look, and deeper for an  oranger look

Overall Verdict :A+

Product:5/5, Pigmentation:5/5, Texture:4/5, Longevity: 5/5, Packaging & Value: 4.5/5

Price: Rs 1350/-(Im not sure)

Recommendation: Mac Optimistic Orange Cremeblend Blush is from their  Shop Cook Collection. Its a deep , peachy orange thats really lively and pretty and would look great on a lot of skintones specially medium to dusky. I love the   cremeblend formula- i found it lightweight and wearable, long wearing and i liked that  you can control the pigment levels. Definitely want another one of these!!!!

On my lips : MAC Watch me Simmer lipstick (Shop Cook) mixed with Deborah 19. MAC WMS ws WAY too orange so i pinkified it by adding deborah to it,

PS:   Now im hooked again. Mac shop mac cook mac. Shop Shop Shop. Cook Cook Cook.
