ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder Review
Guest Post by Lapanika (Medium Skin tone, Dry Skin)
Although, there is no magic in my current boring life, but Fairies and Elves have always caught my fancy. I mean, can you imagine a “Lipstick fairy” or an “Eyebrow shaper Elf” or maybe a “Blush genie” ??( Editors Note: OMG Lapanika- i totally can, a Blush Genie who comes out after you rub a mac blush container, and he grants you as many blushes as you please!) . Every time I look at my makeup storage, I just wished, someone would flip a wand and SHAZZAM.. there’s a new product waiting for me . Hope this “ELF” makes you “blush” too!!
My experience:
I heard a lot of hype that this contouring blush and bronzing powder by ELF with people saying that this is per say a dupe of Nars Orgasm ( I do not have the Nars Orgasm Blush ) and therefore I decided to risk on a not so expensive product .(Editors Note: If you can get an orgasm for less, why pay more and get one
). The blush is pretty pinky rose toned packed with chunky golden glitter, with a matt muddy brown bronzer. For me this blush screamed spring, and outdoor picnic- so its really perfect for spring summer if you want a soft, and fresh peachy pink cheek. Coming back to the blush quality, the texture is pretty powdery and requires substantial amount of blending, so make sure you invest in a good brush if you have this.
The packaging is simple sleek and comes with a mirror. This quality makes it pretty compact to carry in your bag/purse so its very travel friendly. The blush and the bronzer both lasted well for 4 hours without any touch ups. This blush will suit most Indian skin tones (except maybe darker than NC 42 where it might not show up) . If you do have very very oily skin, though, I am not sure of the lasting capacity.
Pros of ELF Contouring Blush & Bronzer :
- Buildable color
- Love the packaging especially the mirror
- Sizable quantity
- Inexpensive
Cons of ELF Contouring Blush & Bronzer :
- Not a fan of the glitter ( Although , some of you may like it )
- Can look patchy, if not blended well

Review Verdict: B+
Price: $3 only
Recommendation: This ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzer Duo should not be used when you are planning to take pictures, because it highlights, the glitter a lot. Apart from that give it a try, if you are really craving NARS Orgasm and if you don’t mind experimenting with glitter.

Well like Wayne (Goss Makeuup Artist) said-”Who doesn’t like a cheap Orgasm eh?”

I have this, and I did a post where I swatched it with Orgasm. They are close, but not dupes.

Hi Mehak,
The website shows 3 different colors. Which color do you recommend for NC42 skin?
