The Body Shop Rainforest Radiance Hair Butter for Colored Hair
Guest Review by Swastika
I simply love The Body Shop body butter..there is nothing like it..period! So when i saw TBS selling Hair Butter for colored hair I was tempted. Then i saw a 50% off tag on them and like all women I couldn’t wait to snag it up in a jiffy. I am a such bargain junkie! (Arent we all Swastika? I just bought this pair of pumps because they were 70% off only to realise i will probably never wear them)
Body Shop Claims
Ideal for colour treated hair, the Radiance Hair Butter features pracaxi oil to increase shine, softness and manageability yet without weighing hair down. Bilberry extract helps to enhance hair colour, plus linseed oil to remove dulling residue that reduces colour vibrancy and enhancing shine. Community Fair Trade organic olive organic olive oil from Italy gives this unique Hair Butter the perfect consistency to treat and condition your hair.
So let me tell you a little bit about my hair texture..it is fine, mostly straight and frizzy. Conditioners and serums are my best friends as my hair will go all over the place if i ever skip them. Before this, I havent ever heard about a hair butter and I have always had a good experience with Body Shop products. I thought “Wow, this could replace my monthly hair spa expenses”. But alas, it was not so.
The product is a good conditioner but not brilliant as i had expected it to be. It made my hair soft but weighed it down quite a bit , resulting in a heavy, non-bouncy kind of head of hair! The smell is really sweet..like coconut candy when i apply but leaves behind a very subtle sweet smell later , which is not overwhelming at all. I didn’t see any result that any drug store conditioner could not give and the fact that it claimed to not weigh my hair down but it did kind of killed it. It also did not live up to its claims of giving high shine etc so Overall, this is a very average product for me and I am happy that I hadn’t spent too much on it. I guess this wasnt selling well hence the 50% off tag! Lesson learnt – Do not pick up things at the discount counter, they are probably there for a reason!
Review Verdict : C
Price :MRP 900/- was available for 450/- at The Body Shop on Sale .
Recommendation: The Body Shop Rainforest Radiance Hair Butter made my hair soft, but weighed it down making it look heavy. At the original price it retails for i expected something more than just an average conditioner but I was pretty let down- it didnt too anything really of what it claimed to!

Yes..it indeed looks good..probably thats why i expected it to deliver a lot!
Hi Swastika..am using this product for like 6 months now n am absolutely loving this. i feel it gives my tresses nice volume n shine , apart from deep conditioning. I have a oily scalp n dry hair ends..so you need to be carefull while using hair masks (as overuse me weigh them down) . I use a peanut size of the product, spread them onto my hair, with special care to the ends…and all is well for me !

I wanted to try this. I bought the sample size at half price. Haven’t used it yet, but glad I didn’t spend full price on the full sized product.
