L’oreal  Super Liner Luminizer for Hazel Eyes Review

If i didn’t know better i would think this gorgeous little gold and purple stick is a wand out of Harry potter. I would lift it high in the air, on a starry night in Paris under the Eiffel Tower and say  “Lumiiiinnniizzzeerrr” and there would be twinkling lights everywhere. But since any such action might warrant all those french people to  drop their croissants , think im crazy and run as fast as possible away for me with their hermes scarves flying in the air, i thought i shall just use  this Loreal Paris Super Liner Luminizer for Hazel Eyes as a purple eyeliner. Not as exciting as a luminosity wand, but hey, pretty nonetheless eh?

Loreal Paris Claimes “Superliner is a liquid eyeliner in a special sponge tipped pen for the creation of fine lines or thick, sultry flicks. Colour is applied with precision and ease.”

So i have a weakness for purple liners, and this particular Super Liner Luminizer is a dark blackened  eggplant purple. Its got a gorgeous, understated sheen to it without any shimmer , so its really versatile- in the sense that it can easily transition from work day to night out.

This luminizer from Loreal is well pigmented, but i need atleast two swipes to get opaque coverage. Its definitely a slightly thin, formula which needs you to build up the intensity of it. I dont really mind that honestly, but since this is not really a cheap liner, you expect one swipe opaqueness. Plus when you go over and over your liquid liner, you run the risk of it getting patchy.

The applicator is a  medium thickness, long felt applicator. Its a bit stiff to look at , but once you start applying with this you realise the tip is quite bendable making for controlled application- which is one of its strongest points. Its really easy and precise to apply. It fares well in the lasting department too, it does last me an entire work day, ensuring i come back with the same purple eye i went with.

Another thing i want to point out-shake well before use girls. Otherwise you are likely to get a dry tipped luminizer applicator. You need to shake it to make it wet again.

Product: 4/5. Pigmentation:3/5, Texture: 3.5/5, Longevity:4/5, Value & Packaging 3.5/5

Price: Rs 630/-

Recommendation: The Loreal Paris Luminizer for hazel eyes ia gorgeous deep eggplant purple with a sheen to it. Its a really easy eyeliner to apply because of the felt tip, it lasts long and is overall a great buy  but if you like your eyeliners to be opaque in one swipe you may be slightly dissapointed because you need to layer this to get an opaque coat.

Love the colour :) I have something very similar from Avon. What baffles me is Loreal’s pricing! Why would someone pay 630 whopping bucks for something that we can easily get for 250-400 here? It seems so random. They seriously need to work on their pricing strategy..lol!

Well for that kind of dough even I expect my liner to give full pigmented opaque coverage in single swipe. I mean where is the time to keep going back & forth to build color specially with liquid liners where one false move means having to redo the entire thing all over again..

at this price..I’d expect it too be opaque in one swipe
