Lush Tea Tree Water Review

Guest Post by Ria (Medium Skin tone, Combination Skin)

I have acne prone skin and when I hear about any products that helps in reducing them, it feels like magic for me. So when the SA at Lush store mentioned 5 products, I bought them all. Lush Tea Tree Water is one of them.

Lush Claims about its Tea Tree Water- Ah, tea tree: how do we love thee? Tea tree is extremely soothing and can work wonders on troubled or oily skin. We’ve also added juniper berry and grapefruit waters to refresh and gently tone with natural oils. Use this throughout the day to help tackle blemishes and lift your spirits.

Application- Spritz directly on the face after cleansing and use a cotton pad to remove any excess cleanser. To tighten pores, let the toner air dry. Follow with the moisturizer most appropriate for your skin’s needs. Facial toners also help combat the drying effects of airplane travel and air-conditioned offices. Give yourself a spritz or two on your next flight or at work, you’ll know what we mean.

I apply the Lush Tea Tree Water on my face after cleansing. Just spray it on my face and then dab it with my fingers. It has a pleasant fragrance of Tea Tree but its not overpowering. Now a days I love everything with tea tree in it and this is not an exception. My skin feels immediately refreshed after applying this and the tea tree just takes away excess oil without drying out my skin.As a toner, its a nice one to own because its a 100% alcohol free and hence it doesnt cause that tight sensation that a lot of toners can cause. It also does a decent job of temporarily tightening pores which is good!

Sometimes I use it after applying my makeup and it adds a glow on my face without making it look very shiny. But It does not work in reducing acne or helps in fading blemishes which was the purpose that I bought it for, and a pretty high claim that Lush made. It has never caused me to break out but has never helped either.

Pros of Lush Tea Tree Water-

  • Adds a glow when applied after makeup
  • Refreshes your skin
  • Controls oil
  • Tightens Pores Temporarily
  • Never caused breakouts
  • Spray Nozzle

Cons of Lush Tea Tree Water-

  • No effect in reducing acne
  • Does not do anything for the blemishes

Rating- B+

Price– Rs 440/- for 100 ml

Recommendation-  The Lush Tea Tree Water suits my combination skin type and hence I will continue to buy it  This ensures that  i have clean refreshed skin without drying it out,  and works really well with the other Lush Cleansers and moisturizers but on its own its just a good basic, toner. It does tighten pores, and gives you a healthy refreshed face, but it doesnt stop acne as it claims.
