Shiseido Stick Foundation
Guest Review by Ria
First of all I did not need another foundation because I was pretty happy with my Revlon colorstay foundation. But I had to meet my cousin for a movie and reached early and was roaming around aimlessly when I found myself infront of Shiseido’s counter. To kill time I decided to try out the Shiseido Stick foundation. The SA cleansed my face, applied moisturizer, then applied a stick foundation in the shade O40 i.e. Natural Fair Ochre. Before this I had only heard of Kryolan TV paint stick that is in stick form.
Then my cousin called up and I left for the movie without buying it. As soon as my cousin saw me she exclaimed how am I looking so fresh in this humid weather? I definitely had to give it another shot and after the movie and snacking, I went again to their counter and tried on a liquid foundation but then settled on this as it had a mattifying effect on my face. She also gave me couple of moisturizer samples.
A creamy stick foundation that glides on effortlessly providing medium coverage and a long-lasting lustrous natural finish while offering exceptional skincare benefits. Provides UV ray protection with SPF 15-18. Conceals fine lines and imperfections. Contains Multi-Nutrient Factor, an advanced moisturizer. Recommended for all skin types.
Before applying this, I moisturize my face especially dry patches around my nose and mouth. Then I put three lines each on both cheeks and blend it well with my fingers working from the center of the face outward. After that I do the forehead, nose and chin area. It takes me all of 2 minutes.
The color matches exactly my skin tone and it blends like a dream. The texture is very creamy and can be layered to get a heavy coverage without caking up and looking heavy. The staying power could have been better. It lasted for 6 hours on me. It dosent oxidize on me and does not become splotchy. So overall , it gives a smooth creamy feel with good solid coverage and a semi-matte coverage. The finish is not dewy, but its not completely matte either- it gives a healthy glow !
Apart from that its very travel friendly, the black sleek tube is very easy to carry, and its much more hassle free than lugging around liquid foundations!
This is now my HG foundation for the hot, humid weather- i find it perfect to dab a bit on for low key nights, but layer it on for more formal events!
For dry skin beauties, you will have to moisturise well otherwise it may appear flaky.
