Kerastese Nutritive Masquintense Review

Guest Post by Ria (Dry, Wavy Hair Texture)

I have dry wavy hair and unfortunately, im addicted to my straightener. Because of the daily  heat,  my hair has become too damaged and brittle . When I got a hair cut last month, the hairdresser suggested the Kerastese Nutritive Masquintense and me, willing to do anything to get my hair better, got this. It comes for Fine and Thick hair types and I got Fine one.

Kerastase Nutritive Masquintense: For very dry and fine hair.
This deep-acting treatment delivers maximum nutrition to the hair without weighing it down. Kerastase Nutritive Masquintense gives hair shine, lightness and volume with instant, visible conditioning. Containing a gluco active dosage of 4100PPM, it provides the hair with glucose to nourish from root to tip, proteins to promote strength and softness and lipids to protect the hair from moisture loss. Features anti-dryness protection to guard the hair from moisture loss and counteract external aggressors.

Apply a quarter-sized amount to towel-dried hair and massage through from roots to ends. Leave on for 5 minutes and rinse thoroughly.

Aqua/Water, Cetyl Alcohol, Peg-180, Glycerin, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Amodimethicone, Cetrimonium Chloride, Lanolin, Lauryl Ped/Ppg-18/18 Methicone, Methylparaben, Cetyl Esters, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Citric Acid, Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Glyceryl Linoleate, Chlorhexidine, Dihydrochloride, Trideceth-6, Glyceryl Oleate, Citronellol, Linalool, Hydroxycitronellal, Hexyl Cinnamal, Alpha-isomethyl Ionine, Coumarin, Geraniol, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Safflower Glucosides, Glyceryl Linolenate, Parfum/Fragrance.

My views on Kerastase Nutritive Masquintense

I have been using this twice a week for the past month or so  and there is just one word to describe it. AWESOME. The first time I used it, I kept it on for 5 minutes and did not see much of a difference. A whole week passed before I used it again and this time I kept it on for 20 minutes. After rinsing it off, my hair felt so soft and smooth and now after a month of regular use, my hair looks so healthy, nourished and so shiny.
This makes my hair feel as if I have had an expensive salon treatment.
It has got a subtle floral smell which I like and does not weigh my hair down.  Also this product is used in hair spas at salon so you can use it to pamper yourself once a while without shelling out big bucks.

This mask is very concentrated hence it should not be used more than twice a week. Also its expensive but a single tub will last you months.

  • Nourishes Hair, Adds shine
  • Reduces frizziness
  • Salon treatment at home
  • Small amount is needed for each use
  • Reduces hair damage due to heat

  • Expensive

Rating- A+

Rs 2350/- for 200 ml

Recommendation– If you have very dry, damaged hair with brittle ends and are looking for a product to smoothen them out, and give them a healthy texture then look no further than Keratase Nutritive Masquintense. Its absolutely AMazing !

Nidhi Pandey July 17, 2012 at 11:47 pm

Hair treatments nowdays interest me due to severe hair fall…

Nivedita July 17, 2012 at 11:50 pm

2000 bucks! But then, my hair is worth more than that. Btw, does it have any adverse effect on dandruff prone hair? Since I (am) suffer(ing) from it and heavy treatments sometimes aggravate, if you could comment on it it would be very helpful Ria

Ria July 18, 2012 at 10:27 am

Hi Nivedita..I do not think that this will any adverse effect but before buying its best that you consult the hair stylist..

I don’t understand why anyone would spend so much money on something that would be out-performed by ingredients from your kitchen. Equal parts of coconut and olive oil, an egg, and half of an avocado (mashed) once a week for an hour is the best thing you can do to your hair – just make sure you wash it out well afterwards ;)

I have been blow-drying and straightening my hair for more than ten years now and I have never had a single split end or an ounce of dryness.

I use L’oreal Absolut Repair Masque as a conditioner thrice a week and it works pretty well for me and for some 500 bucks I find it awesome as it lasts about 5-6 months. But as you rightly said I shall use this one for special pampering once in a while!!

Ria July 18, 2012 at 10:28 am

Even i use a wella masque for my hair and keep this only for special occassions..after using it twice a week for a month, i find that now I need to use it only once a week.

Vaishnavi July 18, 2012 at 1:19 pm

Oh! I use quite refularly and I agree with what you say. It pinches the pocket, but its so worth it!!

Karishma July 19, 2012 at 2:08 am

Mallika August 1, 2012 at 2:25 pm

Preeti Kaur January 16, 2013 at 8:34 pm

I have been eyeing this treatment but never got around to actually buying it because of the price obviously :( After reading your review, I can’t resist anymore :P
