L’oreal Color Infallible Eyeshadow Review
To say that i am absent minded, would be an understatement. Take for example yesterday when i went to my parents house for dinner, all dressed in my new anarkali, and forgot to wear my dupatta .(Thankfully, it was only my parents and close family who just held their head in their hands). Or take for example , a couple of days back when i was testing these Loreal Color Infallible Eyeshadows and totally forgot to remove them as i went to work. Believe me, shimmer baby pink eyeshadow does not go down well with financial big-wigs.
Loreal Claims about its Infallible Eyeshadows “Make a lasting impression without batting an eye.Infallible Eyeshadows contain ultra concentrated colour pigments, for an intense colour finish and up to 24 hour long-lasting hold. Immense, endless, breathtaking blue with a myriad of starry glimmers for eyes of exalted strength.”
Forever Pink -The shade
Loreal Color Infallible Eyeshadow in Forever Pink is a shimmery, soft, baby pink with a silver sheen to it. Its a “Innocent -doe -eye girl’ sort of a shade, something you would wear with Mac Springsheen on your cheeks and Mac Mehr on your lips- all soft and pastel and lovely . On darker skin tones, im afraid this might show up only as silver sheen, because you really need to pack it for the pinkness to show through, but if you are in the market for a soft pink eyeshadow i do recommend this one as the color is quite pretty!
General Thoughts About Color Infallible Eyeshadows
Whoa. Hold on a second, 24 hours..you mean someone can sleep with these and then be up again and still have pretty eyeshadowed eyes? That is a tall claim Loreal (albeit a slightly useless one- who needs eyeshadow for 24 hours anyway). Well in terms of longevity im going to hand it to Loreal these are definitely long lasting eyeshadows- they wear a really long time without fading, im talking 8 hours atleast but they do crease, i see slight creasing within 3-4 hours so if creasing is a pet peeve this might be an issue for you. I dont mind the slight creasing though.
The “Intense Color Finish” you shall only achieve if you really pack these on. Infact a regular shader brush dipped into the eyeshadow only gives a subtle wash of shimmer on my lids, the best way is with a sponge tip or with my finger- then i get ultra rich, intense color payoff. The payoff also differs from shade to shade and iv found the slightly darker shades of this Color Infallible range fare much better than these lighter ones.
Texture wise these are really smooth, soft and creamy..Infact they almost melt like a cream eyeshadow so in that sense they are easy to blend and work with. However , these shimmery ones do have some fallout, since they are mostly loose powder so you need to be prepared for that. Another thing is that i found that in Forever Pink, the powder does clump together– which becoms a pain to apply because you get a blob n your eye but i didnt see this in other shades as much.
Packaging wise, i love the look of it, but well – its not the most convenient you know?
Product:3.5/5, Pigmentation: 3.5/5, Texture: 4/5, Longevity:4/5,Value & Packaging: 3.5/5
Price: Rs 450 for 3.5 gms
Will I Repurchase: I want the All Night Blue one!
Dupes: Colorbar Really Rose Eyeshadow is close, though its a tad bit darker.
Recommendation: These Loreal color infallible eyeshadows are sort of like semi-pressed powders which are supposed dupes for those Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Eyeshadows. These are pigmented (though i recommend you use a sponge tip/your finger to get best results rather than a shader brush), are soft and blendable like a dream and last a long time. The quality differs from shade to shade though, and i feel like the darker shades are much better than these lighter ones. I had a powder-clumping problem in Forever Pink, along with some fallout issues , but i didnt see these as much in the other shades. Overall though, these are a pretty good buy.
