LUSH Fresh Farmacy Face Cleanser Review
Guest Post by Ria (Medium Skin tone, Combination-Oily Skin)

I am sure that anybody who has acne prone skin and loves LUSH products must have fallen in love with Fresh Farmacy cleanser. This is my HG cleanser and no matter how many other brands I try, I always come back to this.

Description Cleansing chamomile and calamine bar for troublesome skin. Fresh Farmacy is the soothing, cleansing bar to reach for whenever you see a spot starting rear its ugly head. It makes a tiny bit of froth to clean your face gently. And because it’s made with masses of calamine and chamomile, it’s one of the most extraordinarily calming cleansers known to humankind. We add rose, tea tree and lavender essential oils for their powerful, skin-calming properties. It doesn’t only deal with spots, it soothes and eases other skin troubles, too.

Ingredients-Calamine Powder, Propylene Glycol, Chamomile Decoction, Elderflower Decoction, Rapeseed Oil and Coconut Oil, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Stearate, Sodium Hydroxide, Water, Lavender Oil, Chamomile Blue Oil, Tea Tree Oil, Rose Absolute, Glycerine, Sodium Chloride, EDTA, Tetrasodium Etidronate, *Limonene, *Linalool, Perfume .*occurs naturally in essential oils

Application- Moisten the cleansing bar with water and rub in your hands to create lather. Apply to your face in a gentle, circular motion, rinse thoroughly, and pat dry.

My views:- When I saw this first it did not look appealing at all, its such a dull pink. I did not have any great expectations from it. It worked miracles on my skin, calmed the existing breakouts and helped reduce the redness. This feels very soft on my skin and contains very soothing ingredients that helps reduce inflammation of acne.

In a month, I could see a vast effect on my face. The blemishes looked lighter, acne outbreaks were less and am overall very happy with this buy. I also use it sometimes as a spot treatment by making a light paste of this and it dries out the acne to a large extent. It can be little bit drying sometimes but nothing that a moisturizer wont fix.I generally break it into small pieces and store in a container so that it does not melt away.

Pros of Lush Fresh Farmacy Cleanser

  • Soothes irritated skin
  • Reduces redness
  • Calms breakouts
  • Works on blemishes
  • Effective as a spot treatment
  • 100 gms last easily for 3-4 months

Cons of Lush Fresh Farmacy Cleanser

  • Pricey for a cleanser
  • Storage can be an issue
  • Can be a bit drying
  • Contains SLS.

Rating- A

Price– Rs 605 for 100 gms

Availability– Lush store and also at

Recommendation- Fresh Farmacy will work wonders on acne prone skin to reduce breakouts but you have to use it regularly to see effect on existing blemishes. It is slightly drying though, so those with dry skin may want to test it out before purchase.
