Revlon Touch and Glow Compact Powder Review

Guest Post by CSP Ballal (Light skin tone, Dry skin)

Claims about the product: A moisturising face powder that smoothes, silkens, evens out your skin tone. Use as a minimum makeup or touch up for a natural finish that lasts. Stays color true, even on oily skin.

Key Ingredients: Talc, Fragrance, Titanium Dioxide.

My take on Revlon Touch & Glow Moisturising Compact Powder:

Revlon always gives out products which are unpredictable. Some have been super hits for my skin and some a great flop. Eventually I have had a love-hate relationship with Revlon products. But this particular compact, is definitly not on the hate list. As a dry skinned girl, its hard to get powders that work for your skin…but Revlon Touch and Glow Moisturizing Compact is definitely a winner!

Most of the claims about this product are true. Yes, it is indeed smooth and silky and gives a neat even finish to the skin. I usually apply loads of moisturizer (even to the extent of my face being oily.) My skin drinks up all the moisturizers within an hour and gets back to its dry patches. After my moisturizer, I use REVLON Touch & Glow Moisturising Powder on my face and neck to control the evaporating of the moisturizer into the air. I have a weird thought, on dabbing this powder; I feel the moisturizer gets locked into my skin. And I feel, yes, my skin is more soft the day I have used this powder on the heavy moisturizers. The fresh look and glow of my skin lasts easily for about 5 hours with this compact powder. Also it has never caused dry flakes on my skin.

Coming to the structure of the compact case, it is a bit of a bore  if you compare it to other brand compact cases. The lid of the compact case has a mirror that is again fixed in a very non-stylish way. The mirror is inserted into the plastic frame of the case lid making it look like a plastic wall mirror of the old style. It is included with a sponge puff which applies the powder evenly. But the softness of puff is not as good as that of the Lakme compact puffs.

Look wise REVLON Touch & Glow Moisturising Powder is not very impressive. But the quality of the product is great. There are 4 shades in this range: Ivory Matte, Rose Matte, Natural Matte, and Gold Matte. This review includes the shade Natural Matte.

Rating: A-

Price: Rs 390/-

Recommendation: For a neat, matte look to your face Revlon Touch and Glow does a good job at a reasonable price. Its one of the few powders that a dry skin girl like me can wear without flaky dry patches showing up everywhere.

its good but SA gave me wrong shade ie ivory matte although i asked her natural or rose one. i am looking dark in it . i had fight with her later when i went back to replace it as she refused to take it back……. these SA are really cleaver they sell that shade which is present rather than correct shade
