The Body Shop peppermint Reviving Leg Gel Review

Guest Post by Prerna  (Medium Skin tone, Dry Skin)

What the company claims: “One step to heaven! Now contains horse chestnut, to help stimulate the circulation when massaged into the skin and rejuvenate tired, heavy legs.” (Editors NOTE: Ooh prerna, i  needed this for my honeymoon- we were walking/cycling for ages !!!)

What do ya still crave for the most after a great shopping spree or dancing the night away in heels? Well for me it is anything that could relieve my tired dead feet. This one claims to do just that! It is a light bluish clear transparent gel which is slightly stick and takes few minutes to get absorbed completely. It smells strongly of peppermint and while I completely enjoy it as it relaxes me I suggest you sniff it at the counter before picking it up.

The moment you apply it onto your skin, there is this tingling refreshing cooling feeling which definitely helps you feel rejuvenated and your feet may even beg you to go out once again. It meets this claim well and that is the reason for the high grade. But still the upsetting part is the relaxing feeling doesn’t last too long. A couple of minutes and I get tempted to reapply and feel like heaven again!

I am interested in trying out the foot soak and the peppermint cream from this range which I feel will be more relaxing and the cream may help in heeling cracked heels as well. Plus I tried the ‘thanda oils’ in the market these days and they really feel nice to use for a cool massage and much cheaper or even ice cubes work great i think – just add a few peppermints and there u go! Your very own peppermint cooling gel :D.

Rating: B+

Price:  Rs.  495  for 250 ml

Recommendation: The Body Shop Peppermint  Leg Gel meets its claims of rejuvenating your tired legs albeit for a short duration. Though I love how it feels when my legs and feet all tired I may not repurchase this as there is nothing else it can do and the relaxing feeling as I mentioned ice cubes may work to an extent too and rather spend the amount purchasing hmm a lipstick? :p However if you want to pamper your feet and shop , party or are involved in the kind of work which kills your legs do give it a shot! May especially be a good addition to your travel kit of some place you know you going to get burnt out :p

I already purchased same product, and I agree with you.. it really soothes when you applied it but it’s not for long due. At first you feel so relax, but when the scent and the minty scent fades, you feel like stressed up again.
