I thought some of you bride-zillas and not so bride-zillas might want to take a look at whats new in the jewellery world. Here are some photos from the ongoing IIJW 2012.
Lets start from Neha Lulla’s Debut Jewellery Line -“Tara Jauhar” (Umm star jewellery??) /Im kind of under whelmed looking at the photos , they are not my style. I like jewellery to be simple and effective. But those of you who like to experiment more with shapes and stuff like that you may like some of these complex and intricate patterns.
On to Amrapali, which USUALLY is a class apart. I say USUALLY because this time I wish Amrapali had gone the regular way of showcasing a single piece on each model. With so much jewellery on a model, i felt like the pieces were competing for attention and you couldnt really see the jewels up close for what they were. So, im going to reserve my comments! They did have Nargis Fakhri and Abhay Deol walk down the ramp as show stoppers, and they definitely looked great!
Kays Jewels also showcased their collection- “Ambe Ambalike ” : very bridal one this! Can totally imagine a lot of brides wearing these big diamond necklaces for their sangeet/ engagements .
Sonam Kapoor was present at the India International Jewellery Week 2012 and she is actually the official ambassador for the Gem and Jewellery Council> She was in a creation by Nirav Modi. By far, i liked this piece the best. Maybe because it just worked with the green strapless gown, but the necklace really did look like a million bucks (and it probably was too!)
PS: I want that lipstick Sonam is wearing !

i too think sonam’s necklace was the best. and yes that lipgloss..sometimes beauty bloggers are at a loss too!

Tara in gujrati and rajasthani means ‘ your’ so it can also mean your jewellery .. Doesnt really make sense

I think you can find something similar to Sonam’s lip color from Inglot. One of their lip pots is a similar light peachy tone.

Amrapali’s first model is totally gorgeous!!
Woowwwww………….all are so amazing. Its become very hard for me to choose the best one among them. Juhi Chawla is looking stunning and like always giving a very cute smile.
