Gaurav Gupta continued his design aesthetic of taking indian silhouettes like saris and lehengas an giving them a more modern treatment. The color pallette ranged from whites and pastel pinks to bright and bold sunset colors. Below are the photos from what he showcased at Delhi Couture Week 2012. His show was clubbed with Anamika Khanna’s (which was beyond stunning by the way), and im trying to get her photos out as soon as possible. FOr now though im off to DCW tonigh to see  Manish Malhotra and SHantani & Nikhil!

Is it just me or do you feel that the concept here is to give western gowns an Indian treatment and the result of the fusion is none too flattering?

Somehow there is no WOW factor in this collection! Lovely colors but the designs could have been better!
