Fabindia Lemon Intensive Hand Cream

Guest Post by Shivangi

I have this nagging habit of washing my hands a number of times. I can’t help it as I always feel my hands have gone dirty when I touch the keyboard or travel by my office bus. This habit may be appreciated by doctors but my hands have a different opinion. They became quite dry and applying Body lotion twice a day did not help much. I had to buy a hand cream to keep with me so that I could stop my hands looking like a Janitor’s!

This Tube came to my rescue because I abhor the hand creams which make hands sticky! Let me tell you about this is detail:

What Fabindia claims?

An intensive non-greasy cream, this formulation combines natural extracts with essential oils. While lemon lightens the skin, glycerine softens it. Regular application ensures your hands remain supple and smooth.

Ingredients: Purified Water, Urea, Glyceryl Mono Stearate, Glycerine, Emulsifying Wax, Cetyl Alcohol, Sesame Oil, Lactic Acid, Isopropyl Palmitate, Dimethicone, Sodium Hydroxide, Petroleum Jelly, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Methyl Paraben, Allantoin, Lemon Oil, Carbopol 940, Propyl Paraben, Disodium EDTA.

I have not used many products from this brand so I don’t know how they are worth buying or not but this hand cream is surely a worth buy product from this brand! What I like most about this is that this gets absorbed quickly and I can resume working in no time. It has a pleasant lemony smell which is not overpowering. I do not want my hand creams to smell heavily. Only a pea sized amount is required every time and it hydrates the skin well. My palms have become very soft now, thanks to this.

One thing which irks me about this the list of chemicals L from a brand which claims to deliver natural products! But this cream has lightened tan and has worked really well for me so I am not complaining either.

This is one of the few products that I have repurchased. I get bored with lotions and creams so easily that I keep on changing them but this has worked so well for me that I have repurchased it once and I am going to buy another tube this weekend too! The tube is sturdy. I have been carrying it in my purse for more than 2 months and have encountered no issue

Pros of Fabindia Lemon Intensive Hand Cream

  • Very light, gets easily absorbed
  • Inexpensive
  • Easily available
  • Sturdy packaging, can be carried in the purse
  • Nice lemony fragrance
  • Fabindia does not test on animals
  • Moisturizes hands well
  • Works for tan too

Cons of Fabindia Lemon Intensive Hand Cream

  • Long list of chemicals, did not expect this from Fabindia

In all, I really like this hand cream as it is inexpensive and is something which really works on my tan and dry hands.

Will I repurchase? Yes, I already have and I will buy it again until I find the one which is still better than this.

Rating: B+

Price: Rs 150/- for 120 ml

Final Verdict : The Fabindia Lemon Intensive Hand Cream is definitely worth a buy- which works well for moisturizing and tan removal. The chemicals in the list scare me but it works for me well and is inexpensive.

I always like slightly greasy hand creams as my hands are really v v dry and the ones which get fully absorbed initially, just can’t keep my hands moisturized an hour or so later…have been happy with Loccitane lately.. But this Fabindia one sounds great and I must try it!

great review. I know it feels bad when so many natural products claiming company uses so many chemicals. Marketing gimmick.

But there’s also another thing, lot of these names that sound like chemicals are actually derived from plants and fruits and veggies. These are their chemical names.

I’d certainly try this.

I have used Fab India products, I like them they are less harsh/chemicals than other brands. Washing hands too frequently in not a good habit (OCD symptoms).

Check few articles on this:
I am not sure about frequency you wash your hand, its better to consult a doctor if you think at that you are overdoing it (than other people around you do).
