So if you are a man in search of something nude and something sexy and you have by chance landed here, sorry to dissapoint you hun!)

First it was petrol prices, then diesel prices and now nail polishes too!! Maybelline Colorama recently hiked up their prices and im heartbroken! Every month we squeeze our budgets to buy these cosmetics and these companies are ruthless like our Government! What can we do? Well, nothing. A girl needs what she needs! She will still  go out and buy these beautiful colors!

Anyways, coming back to the review, Maybelline claims Colorama Nail Color offers high-gloss nail color with over 5 days wear without chipping. It combines a visually stunning palette of pigments, pearls and glitters. It’s the ultimate accessory that transforms your look from day to night, fun to funky and classic to daring in a flash.

The range has total of 26 colors and I recently picked up 2 shades – “Sexy” & “Nude” mainly because of the names . Imagine the scenario when someone asks you, “What color are you wearing on your nails?” and you reply, “Sexy!” or “Nude!”. And, now imagine this question was asked by your boyfriend or husband? Romantic, huh? (Blushing!!!??)

Both these shades are very summery and rainy day colors too. I picked up “Sexy” because neon colors are all over the place currently & I like the idea of pink neon shade. “Nude” is a  soft fawn color with hints of pinks & peaches which is apt for everyday wear or for sophisticated formal events

For opaque finish you will need two coats with  both the shades. The first coat of nail polish dries in 2-3 minutes but for second coat you will need a good 15 minutes of patience. It doesn’t have any glitters or pearls or pigments as claimed above (atleast not in these 2 shades). Also, for me the chipping started from 3rd day itself (you might use a top coat to make it last longer). The quality is good and the consistency of the polish remains the same for long time even though it’s just sitting in the bottle. I would say, it will easily last nearly a year without getting thick.

Recommendation: I like the Maybelline Colorama Nail Polishes.The consistency remains good without becoming gloopy for long time and it does give a glossy finish to the nails. It starts to chip in 3 days but with top coat it will last longer. Sexy is a nice bright pink and  Nude is well..a nice peachy nude!
