Manf / Expiry Date is the most important thing..
Once i got a duplicate Olay lotion. I had not checked the carton. so nowadays i am wiser..
i always check manufacturing/exp date and ingredients.

I check for the country and it gives me a huuugggeeee high if it says Paris or Milan
Also dates.. BTW I have some lipsticks and eye shadows that must be well past their expiry date but are doing EXTREMELY WELL
