Bath & Body Works Cherry Blossom Range Review : Triple Moisture Cream, Fragrance Mist

Guest Review by Kritika (Combination Oily Skin, Medium Skin tone)

I absolutely love winters and can’t wait for them get here! Get ova here already mate! One of the main reasons I can’t wait for winters is that I’m all set to get out my winter stock of moisturisers and body mists? What do I mean winter stock? Well, there are summer fragrances and then there are winter fragrances and I bought a truck load of stuff from Bath & Body Works last year, and this particular one with the Japanese Cherry Blossom Scent is a part of the winter stock and you’ll know why just in a minute..

What Bath & Body Work says about the Triple Moisture Body Cream:

Fortified with our exclusive Triple Moisture Complex of conditioning milk proteins, hydrating rice bran oil and protective acai berry extract, our Signature Triple Moisture Body Cream provides deep, 24-hour moisture that softens even the driest skin. Our non-greasy formula deeply conditions, leaving skin moisturized, fragrant, and more beautiful than ever before.

Our exclusive, award-winning Japanese Cherry Blossom fragrance is a seductive and mysterious floral scent, inspired by the exotic gardens of Japan

Key fragrance notes: Asian Pear, Kyoto Rose, Mimosa Petals, Himalayan Cedarwood

What Bath & Body Works says about the Fragrance Mist:

Lavishly spritz on your body to lightly scent your skin with our exclusive, award-winning Japanese Cherry Blossom, a seductive and mysterious floral scent inspired by the exotic gardens of Japan.

Top Notes: Asian Pear, Fuji Apple and Ume Plumb

Mid Notes: Japanese Cherry Blossom, Butterfly Lily, Kyoto Rose, Mimosa Petals

Dry Notes: Vanilla Rice, Imperial Amber, Silk Musk, Cinnamon Incense, Himalayan Cedarwood and creamy Sandalwood

It smells of winter, warm fuzzy socks, big cuppa cappuccino and a romantic novel. It smells of foggy mornings, woollen caps and mittens. It smells of Saturday early morning auto rides with no traffic and the wind blowing in your hair. Okay okay, I’ll stop. Its just one of those warm, seductive fragrances for grown ups. Its sweet with a hint of devilish spices tickling from beneath. Its definitely a sexy fragrance and not a light, casual one. It might feel too strong to a few people, so if you re someone who gets headaches because of strong fragrances, stay away from this one. But if you enjoy strong, floral yet slightly musky fragrances, try this out. Also, there’s definitely a whiff of Amber in it. If you re layering the body cream and the mist, go light on the mist as it will definitely intensify the scent. The fragrance lingers on for almost 5 – 6 hours, which is pretty decent for a body mist. I have never really worn the body cream alone so I cant comment on the lasting power of its fragrance.

I love how good the Triple Moisture Body Cream feels on the skin, its takes a while to get absorbed into the skin but after that’s done, it feels light. Its very easy to go overboard with the cream and end up with greasy arms, so I suggest use a little. A little does goes a long way. Bath & Body works has come out with a new packaging for this one, the new ones have a deep red colour. I guess the formula is pretty much the same.

One cautionary advice now, this is strictly a winter fragrance or one meant for cooler climates. So if you decide to wear this and go out to run errands or take public transport during scorching heat, you will end up smelling like a rotten orange. This ONLY happens when sweat gets combined with either the body cream or the mist. I don’t know why and I can’t help it. That’s why Ive been waiting for it to get cool over here. I’ve perhaps worn it a couple of times that too when I had to stay in in an air conditioned room the whole time.

Overall Verdict: A

Recommendation: The Bath & Body Works Japanese Cherry Blossom Range is r ecommended for people who love warm, slightly musky & floral scent. The body cream will do wonders for your skin in winters and the mist is a great winter scent too.

Editors Note: OMG Kritika, you make it sound soo amazing for winters. Big cappucino, warm woollen caps and a romance novel- thats my kind of scent!

Ooh I love the Sensual Amber one too. Have you tried this one called something like Fig and Brown Sugar? Its similar and divine! Get it if you get your hands on that one, I’ve ran out of it..could have reviewed. Le sigh.
