My Views:

I am currently into a phase where I am drawn more towards products that are harmful chemicals free. Be it, “No Parabens”, “No Sulphates” or “Toluene & DBP free”, I don’t think twice picking up such products; it’s other thing I was initially not aware what “Toluene & DBP free” actually means but that I can always look up once I am back home! Right? Important thing I am staying away from anything harmful in my beauty products! BTW, DBP or ‘dibutyl phthalate’ is a plasticizer that makes nail polish flexible &Toluene is a colorless liquid used as a solvent

I am so happy with my purchase and honestly speaking I was not aware that Lotus Herbals is also into the making of such good quality nail polishes too. The sleek & slim packaging of these bottles is something which attracted me towards it & its quite different from the regular ones we buy. The brush is also of good quality, it has nice thick bristles and coats nails evenly with two strokes.

The color “Purple Star #85” stands true to its name, a beautiful dark purple color with loads of shimmer in it. The formulation is excellent, not too thick and neither too runny. It spreads effortlessly on the nails. Even though it contains shimmer particles the finish is very smooth and not at all gritty. One coat is sufficient but I prefer going with a second coat for more opaque finish. It dries quickly too, after first coat I hardly waited 2-3 minutes before going for second coat. The second coat dried up in another 10 minutes completely. About the final finish, it looked glossier when it was wet but as it dried up I found it to be about semi-glossy. It stayed well on my nails for 2 days & then it started to chip. It will last longer with a top coat.

Recommendation: Lotus Herbals Colour Dew  in the colour “Purple Star” is a gorgeous shade with loads of shimmer and I absolutely love it. The consistency of the formula is easily workable and free of harsh chemicals, so I recommend you all to try out. They also do have great variations in pinks & peaches, I will definitely pick up few more shades. These chip in about two days which is average for a nail polish.
