Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie: Swatches & Review

If you dont feel like sticking your tongue out and giving this thing a big fat slurp, then there is something wrong with you (Or you are probably just a more mature person and dont get urges to lick yummy things. You probably dont even use the word ‘yummy’ – you say ‘delicious’or ”divine’ or some other grown up sounding word. ) Me ? Well, if i didnt fear for my stomach, i would slurpity-slurp the yumminess out of the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in  Berry Smoothie. These lip butters have become a total staple in my hand bag- right next my kohl pencil i always seem to have two stashed around somewhere !!!

Berry Smoothie is like a soft,  berry pink when swatched on the arm, but on the lips its a “berry berry”  pretty soft rose pink !!! Its kind of like i took my natural lip color, made it just a tad bit lighter and pinker and added a whole lot of gloss to it. Thats why i love Berry Smoothie- i wear it to work everyday because its not an óut there color, but it still adds that pretty pinkness to make your lips look all flushed and rosy. Its a color that will suit just about everyone, from light to dark but because its not the most pigmented out of Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters, you may want to see just how much it covers your pigmented lips. Lollipop was extremely pigmented, but Berry Smoothie is much sheerer.

Iv already spoken about my love for these lip butters, and Berry Smoothie is no different. Even though this is the least pigmented of all the Lip Butters iv tried, i just love how it feels on my lips. I feel it makes my lips soft, and plump and cushioned and eneveloped in this juicy sort of soft pink berry liquid. These are not great in the lasting department- they last just about 3 hours or so an you will require re-application. They moisturize your lips nicely though, but you will need frequent touch ups if you want the moisturizing-ness to continue, because after a while when they start to wear out your lips can start to feel dry.

Berry Smoothie Lip Butter Swatch

Verdict: B+

Price: Rs 600/-

Recommendation: I LOVE LOVE LOVE the color of Berry Smoothie, it has to be my favourite shade from all the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters iv tried. Its  a very soft, everyday pink that looks natural, and flushed on my skintone. The only reason this is not an A- like the other lip butters iv tried, is because this is a tad bit lesser pigmented and also wears off earlier. But apart from that, it gives a nice wash of color, moisturizes your lips for a couple of hours and looks super pretty.

I wore this shade to a party on Saturday. I really really love it!

I also get the urge to lick things, but in NYC, that’s not very sanitary (or healthy). LOL.
