The wedding of the year, has been officially kicked off, infact Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan are now already Mr. and Mrs. Khan . While the sangeet ceremony happened in Mumbai , the wedding was a simple court marriage followed by two functions a Nikah in the Grand Pataudi Palace and a reception at Taj Hotel. Here are some photos from the Sangeet and Court Marriage. Me thinks there are going to be lehenga copies of Kareena Kapoor’s outfits everywhere in Delhi yah??
The bride herself wore- Surprise Surprise ! Manish Malhotra! A Haldi Yellow dupatta, and a shimmery gold and cream lehenga with baby pink and olive green edging. I do love Kareena’s makeup, and I like how she kept her bangles so simple and non OTT. She looks like a gorgeous indian princess!
Mrs. Arora Khan wore a purple and Gold Shehlaa Khan outfit. Shehla Khan seems to be the new favourite designers among the B-town brigade huh? Im not a fan of the jewellery, but she looks nice !
Soha Ali Khan wore an Anamika Khanna. Now, the outfit itself is rather classy, but come on!!! Siister of the groom?!?! NO WAY. She needed to wear something more festive and not so severe- its a sangeet after all!
A very pregnant Amrita Arora wore a Vikram Phadnis, and she looked quite adorable !!
Sara Ali Khan wore a simple Gota Patti Work Lehenga by Abu-Sandeep.
Kareena wore a simple Green and Red Salwar by Manish Malhotra for the court marriage in the morning. I have to say, she looks like one of the happiest brides iv seen. You can see it in that radiant, beaming smile!

loved soha’s outfits. amongst all the OTT lehengas and anarkalis going on, her anamika khanna really stood out. Very subtle and classy.
She wore a cream and golden lehenga at one of the other functions and looked lovely in that too.
I think I’m in the minority but Kareena’s look was rather tried-and-tested. Hate that bra top blouse on her.

I’m really loving Kareeena’s make up, it looks glamorous, but I’m really wanting to see her in the nikaah ceremony. I guess she wore her mother-in laws sharara , i’m so wanting to see her. i really agree with ss , i think kareena’s look was actually tried and tested like a zillion times, she could have really experimented with her look a lil bit . she could have styled herself differently. i kinda like amritas look, in the cream lehenga. and i’ve actually like all karishma’s outfits. specially the cream white heavy outfit by manish malhotra.

I second that… Somehow Kareena’s sangeet look seems a little off… The makeup is great, but I don’t think that choli and what little of the dupatta and lehenga I can see here is doing much for her..and everything including the jewelry looks a bit dated given her glam persona. But hey public image aside, this is HER sangeet, and maybe that’s what she likes!
But Soha is still a bit too understated for me… Sonam wears Anamika Khanna brilliantly and a similar look even could have worked wonderfully…maybe a color other than black in anamika khanna would have looked great on soha

onestly i think its a question of having seen actresses look like this in all their movies. Manish makes her clothes for most movies, and he made it for the wedding so its kind of like yr seeing a rerun..still like it though.
And yes, i love soha’s anamika khanna saree but its wayy too understated for a festive occasion according to me honestly!
