Day 4 and 5 was packed with tons of shows at WLIFW 2013 . Here are photos from some of my favourites. Shivan& Narresh (who i absolutely ADORE for their swimwear) presented a collection called ZIP. This was dominated by structured , strong silhouettes, color blocking and pops of candy colors! All i could think about is- i NEED a holiday on a beach with a Shivan & Naresh on me (except the orange outfit- that looked like American Jail uniform to me) !!! Gauri & Nainika showcased a black & white collection inspired by My Fair Lady. The silhouettes here too were crisp and structured, but combined with dramatic ruffles and flows of organza! There was a rather fantasy kind of vibe to the whole collection- romantic and vintage looking clothing that was a bit whimsical. Vineet Bahl showcased a collection inspired by Morocco , with gorgeous prints in earthy tones walking down the ramps. There was layering and ruffles here too- right from the flouncy western style tops (would wear that blue printed top in a heartbeat) , to the stunning cream anarkalis and the lehengas. Loved! Then there was Joy Mitra – who took us back to the 1800′s with a dinner party hosted by the East India Company! There were a lot of fusion garments in here in hues of red, white, and black ! Effective!
