Illamasqua Blush Duo : Hussy & Lover Swatches, Review

Every time there is a little package waiting for me, with a UK address, i know there is always going to be something super fun inside. And im not even talking about the makeup aspect.  Illamasqua makes sure to send packages filled with confetti, candy, little unique surprises (this time it was golden stars to adorn your christmas tree) and a whole lot of creativity and fun! The star of the show this time, though was definitely the Illamasqua blush duo with two absolutely scrumptious shades that are perfect for Indian Skintones!!!

Hussy and Lover, are two of Illamasqua’s most famous cheek shades, and its easy to guess why. Both are gorgeously pigmented and both are likely to flatter almost anyone! Hussy, is described as a matte candy pink and to me its a lot like Mac Dollymix -its just a beautiful, warm candy pink that gives you a beautiful, rosey flush. Very girl next door pretty! Lover on the other hand is a bit  like Mac Peaches  but a bit deeper and warmer: a matte peachy orange that will just liven up your face !!

These blushes are uber-uber pigmented so if you are one of those people on whome blushes dont show up as much you can rest assured that these will definitely give you pops of color. They are also incredibly, buttery and silky smooth- the texture is really fine  and you can tell that by just a little dip of your brush into the pan . There is a certain creaminess to the powder blushes which you dont find in other brands. If i had to complain about something it would be that Illamasqua blushes can be a bit hard to blend, i do have to work with them a little bit if i want that *poof* melting into the skin look.  Apart from that though they are the real deal – last long, feel smooth and are very pigmented.

This duo has actually replaced my entire travel kit of blushes, because its just so useful to have a peach blush and a pink blush both of which look great on your skintone in one compact product! Definitely recommend :)

Illamasqua Lover Swatch: Blended

Illamasqua Hussy Swatch: Blended

Verdict: A-

Recommendation: The Illamasqa Blush Duo in Hussy and Lover houses Illamasquas most popular blush shades- a gorgeous matte peachy orange, and a beautiful rosey pink. These blushes are super quality- pigmented, super smooth and last long. But blendability is definitely something that can be worked upon in the future !

Mehak, if your skin is on the drier side, you should really have a look at Illamasqua’s cream blushes. They’re beautifully pigmented, and really blendable. I’ve got combination skin, so it gets a bit shiny, but I put up with it because they really do “melt” into the skin.

Hussy could be this blog’s mascot, what with being peach and a blush.
