L’oreal Telescopic Clean Definition Mascara
Guest Post By Embellished
If there was one piece of makeup that I could pick and live with for the rest of my life, I think it would be mascara. Without mascara my eyelashes feel naked, somehow. That is a really weird thing to say but it’s true. I hate getting out without mascara. And as much as I am a fan of the clean, natural look, I don’t mind my mascara to be a little more than natural looking. I like dramatic lashes.
When I bought the L’oreal Telescopic Clean Definition mascara, I had high expectations from it. I had heard so many good things about the original formula and the sales girl told me that this one was better. So I bought it despite the heavy-ish price tag. And I have to say, at first, I wasn’t completely mesmerized by its awesomeness or anything. I guess I was expecting something outworldly.
But now that I have used it quite a bit, I’m really liking it. Since it’s called ‘telescopic’, I’m assuming it’s supposed to give length (I do NOT know how that makes sense), which it does. My lashes are naturally on the longer side, and with curling, they look better. But two coats of this mascara make them look super long. The brush is flexible, but honestly, I don’t exactly know how that can help much. It’s one of those plastic brushes with tiny bristles. I haven’t used one of these before and they are surprisingly easy to work with. And the brush has hints of pink in places which is pretty.
However, this product falls behind in the volume area for me. I have used the Maybelline Colossal Volum Express for a long, long time. And I love the volume that product gives me. The telescopic doesn’t do as good a job there. It doesn’t separate the lashes well. It actually clumps them together. But it clumps them uniformly. You get it? Like you have clumped lashes, but not messy ones. They still look nice.
However, what I like about this is that it’s so neat, unlike the colossal which tends to get messy and flaky after a while. The telescopic is an extremely comfortable mascara to wear.
The L’oreal Telescopic Clean Definition Mascara retails for Rs. 650 and, at least in Mumbai, can only be found at proper L’oreal stores, not in L’oreal counters.
Verdict: A-
Price: Rs 650/-
Will I repurchase this? Maybe sometime in the future. Even if I do, I’d like to try the original formula. For now, I’m still looking for my perfect mascara. Is this perfect? No. But it’s really good. And I know that I’m going to use this until it’s so dry, I can’t get ANY product out of it. Yes, I know about the 3 month mascara rule. But how’re you supposed to throw out mascara that expensive in three months?!

Looks like a pretty good mascara.. The clumping is uniform, which I’ve never seen in any mascara!

The mascara looks great!! rather, your lashes looks so long and it did such an uniform job, they give the impression of falsies!! But then, my lashes are long but thin. So, I might still stick to the Colossal.
Nice review
