Colorbar Brick O La Lipstick

Brick O La is a very unique shade..not a brick color but a combination of red and pink with brown undertones. It looks like a dull brown in the tube but its actually quite a bright color. Infact I can only wear it as a stain in the mornings..I am an NC40 (Medium) and this suits me pretty well- like a nice, reddish pink with earthyness to it. Imagine a brick but redder.
The texture
This one a creamy matte lip color. Glides on softly without any pulling or tugging. In the winters, I sometimes wear a nude balm under it to moisturize my lips, because these are matte so they can tend to dry out your lips a bit. In summer its moisture content would be perfect.
The lasting power
Superb! I put this on, went for a party in the evening..ate and drank there, came home, washed my face, brushed my teeth and still the color was there! I have to take it off with my makeup remover or cleansing milk. It lasts longer than any high end lippies I have tried like MAC, Loreal etc
Recommendation: Colorbar Velvet Matte lipstick in Brick O la is a very unique shade. A combination of red and pink with brown undertones. It may look dull and brown but its a bright , inexpensive lippy with super staying power that doesnt need reapplication in a day. You should definitely try this or others from this range!

This shade is so pretty maroonish. Nice buy Swastika. There are so many RED lipstick lovers around and make me tempted for Red’s. I know, I wont be using it even I buy one.

Hiya Shikha I too am always tempted for reds, if u like reds but are a lil conscious of pulling ‘em off do checkout Lip Butters by Revlon in Cherry Tart and Candy Apple, they r fab reds but dont really stand out or look loud. TC

You can wear it as a stain! it is my favorite way of wearing this lippy.

Am I the only one who doesnt like colorbar, I got creme cup and over the top. After a couple of hours of wear both the colors turn brownish red and that is really not flattering also they are extremely drying which I wouldnt mind. But the fact that they actually need cleanser to take them off makes me feel the chemicals in these lippies are really harsh. I feel they are making my lips dark.
also if you really love em no need to pay 325/ – at the beauty store in khar they are available for 225/-

I have this shade, its really pretty…but the lasting action is that it stains horribly…which refuses to go away…..I shall not buy any shade from this range because of this staining nature..I have a couple of shades, all stain..

I think I underestimated colorbar products! I’ll try some products on my next India trip. The lipstick sounds great especially if it has great staying power. That’s what I would want in my red lipstick

I have this shade and its gorgeous. You are right that it can be worn only as a tint in the daytime but in the evenings I usually pair it up with a transparent gloss to make it party wear!
I also have ‘Bare’, ‘Addictive Magenta’, and ‘Love that Rust’ from this line.. all are amazing, comparatively inexpensive and last long enougg( not as long as this one does on you though)
