Forest Essentials Mashobra Honey and Vanilla Body Lotion
Guest Review by Priya R.
Product Description:
“These ultra-rich lotions incorporate real caramelized sugar crystals that have been used in several traditional Indian recipes for luxurious skin treatments. Being a natural humectant, sugar attracts moisture to the skin, making it soft, supple and dew-like.
Ripe golden Honey with succulent warm Vanilla. This body lotion uses burnt Cane Sugar, a humectant that attracts and seals moisture into the skin.”
My Views:
I am totally going gaga over natural & ayurvedic products nowadays and continuing the spirit I recently picked up Forest Essentials Ultra Body Lotion Mashobra Honey & Vanilla. The timing is just perfect as winter has approached that means it’s time for super dry skin and I could really put this body lotion to test. Forest Essentials Ultra Body Lotion Mashobra Honey & Vanilla comes in a simple & classic packaging of transparent bottle with golden colored lid. The lotion is a thick & chunky consistency cream and a little bit of product works well on the skin. It melts like butter into the skin, making it silky soft and leaving a dewy kind of finish on the skin. It keeps the skin hydrated throughout the day and does not require re-applying at all. The fragrance is divine and you would want to keep on smelling it. I could not stop myself from sniffing my hand all day
For me, the fragrance is all about Vanilla, I really did not smell of honey in it. So, if you are Vanilla lover like me, you would love this body lotion. The fragrance is mild and it lingers on for few hours and then it slowly disappears.
Forest Essentials being a luxurious ayurvedic brand which offers premium range of products, my expectations of ingredients list was high. When you look at the ingredients behind the bottle it all seems right except one, “Base QS”. This Base QS could contain harmful chemicals right? So I wrote to Forest Essentials and asked them what “Base QS” is and they did reply to my query. And to my satisfaction, Base QS for body lotions comprises of PURIFIED WATER along with ALOE VERA, SHEA and KOKUM BUTTER, NATURAL VEGETABLE OILS, GLYCERIN and VITAMIN E.
Pros:
- Divine Vanilla Fragrance
- Does not leave greasy feeling on the skin. It instantly gets absorbed
- Gives dewy finish to the skin
- Keeps the skin hydrated all day
- Made of all natural ingredients
Cons:
- Nothing except it’s a bit highly priced
Verdict: A+
Price: Rs 775 for 200 ml
Recommendation: Forest Essentials Ultra Body Lotion Mashobra Honey & Vanilla is amazingly rich body lotion which melts like dream into the skin leaving it soft and supple. Most importantly it is “REALLY” made of natural ingredients not like other products which claim to be natural but in reality they are full of chemicals except one or two ingredients. It’s a must buy for this winter season! Do try out!

Hey Preetha,
They expire after a year only when not opened. Once opened they have instructed us to use the product within 6 months.

I agree Preetha
FE products even mention the percentage of ingredients which lack in many brands
imidazolidinyl urea – a chemical is mentioned in the ingredient list. It is a preservative.
My Kama body lotion is finished, I would like to try this out.. Nice review Priya.

I haven’t tried the facial gel but I m using the eye gel n loving it… Yet to try the toner & ubtan!
Forest Essentials is one of my favorite brands.. Since the time Ive discovered it I use only their products for my face atleast ( too expensive to use on the body and hair)
although they are heavily priced but the products are worth it. And since it is all natural it gives you an inner satisfaction as well.
